K.H.
I could take her off your hands, my husband and I have been looking to get a kitty for our daughter.
I am looking for a new and safe home for kitty.
She is indoor and potty trained. She is not spaded.
She does need her shots. I have not done only because
I keep her in the house. If you are interested and
also want to spay her. I do know of a very good cheap
price which I got the info. from here on Mamasource.
She is tiger stiped grays/black and white. She is very
pretty and very good with children. I have to get rid
of her because my landlord does not want cats in his home.
I don't want to get in trouble so I would like to put
her in a good home. She is in good health. If you are interested
please let me know as I would like to get rid of her sooner
than later.
God Bless and have a nice day.

WARNING!!! There is no such thing as a FREE kitten. I recieved 2 "FREE" kittens from a friend in October and they have already cost me almost $800 not including food and litter. And that is with a multi-pet discount from my vet. When you get a "FREE" kitten it needs to get shots (rabies and distemper), tests(feline AIDS & leukemia) and, spayed or neutered, etc. Males are prone to UTIs or bladder infections. The female cost me about $300 & the male about $500. When (not if) the cat accidentally gets outside, there will be more costs due to injury. And this also doesn't even count breakage caused by the animal playing.
The next time I get a cat or kitten, it will be through my local ASPCA or shelter where it will cost about $50 + paperwork, but the cat will have had its shots, testing, and I will get a discount on having it fixed.
I am sure that your cat is wonderful, but people should be made aware that being a responsible pet owner costs money. I am not anti pet. I love my 2 kittens, I just think that people need to know up front that pets are never "free" no matter what.
Yes, all pets cost money, but they are sooo worth it! I already have two cats, so I am not in the market for another one....but please think of the issues with getting pets next time...not sure if you just moved, or not, but whoever decides to take her needs to make sure they don't have a rule against it in their home...I would rather move than to get rid of my babies!
I already have 2 female kitties and really can't take in another, but I wanted to mention if you can't find someone to take your kitty in please consider contacting the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington. They are a cat rescue organization, and they should be able to find your cat a good home or take care of her until one can be found. They are very loving and caring, and you will know they are taking good care of her, which is better than bringing her to a shelter. I'm trying to get the website to come up but it's slow right now. I'll try to post again when I can confirm the address.
OK, their website is ffgw.org
It looks like they will help you find a home, but you will have to keep her until they do- they can't put her in a foster home like they do with the homeless kitties they rescue. Still, it may be worth contacting them. Good luck!
S., if you REALLY want to find a good home for your cat (and you should, she's been part of your family) then do the right thing by her and get her spayed and her vaccinations up to date so that she has a realistic shot. cats have very little chance, and older cats almost none. offering an adult cat that needs that much money put into her is asking for failure.
