So lucky me just found out why it was hurting to wipe. I found a wonderful LARGE boil on my "Below lips". It hurts sooo bad. I soaked in the tub for a little bit and afterwards was able to get it opened up.. but ugh... it hurts.

Any suggestions on how to heal this down there?

Thanks!

Go to the doc, hate to scare you but MRSA also looks like a boil in the beginning but they are WAAAAAAAYYY WORSE!!!!! I had a bout with them a couple of years ago (was getting it from the gym I go to) and they were horrible and hard to get rid of.

You really should get to the doctor.
I got a boil on my tookus/the back of my leg where my panty line hits. At first I thought it was just from scooching around in my chair so much and rolling between my phone and my computer at work. Oh my gosh, it was one of the worst things to happen to me. I couldn't bear to sit down and driving to work was torture. I tried soaking, I tried everything. It would not go away.
I ended up going to the doctor and had to have two courses of antibiotics. It was a staph infection. You don't want to mess around with that near your nether regions.
Make absolutely certain you are washing your hands thoroughly, don't let anyone else use your wash cloths or towels, wash them in hot water.
It's better to be safe than sorry. Really.

I feel for you. Boils really hurt. You should let a doctor look at it.

Best wishes.

Try to go without any undies,, not with jeans or shorts, but wear a sun dress and nothing under,, and especially at bedtime,, just let it air out all night.

i would try the potato thing, probably an idaho...i have never had this issue, but i do know that a "potato necklace" works wonders for sore throats!!!! sounds nutty, but when i was a kid a friend of my mom told her to cut up potatos, string them up and tie it around my neck while i slept for a sore throat i had had for over a week. woke up in the morning and the potatos were black as coal and my throat was fine. she did this for me a few times when i was little and it always worked. it is gross but it worked.

First, I'm so sorry you're having these issues. I don't have an answer, but I must say I laughed so hard when I read your "So What Happened?" questions about the potato....and then started laughing even harder at the thought of women walking around with potatoes in their underthings.

*hugs* I do hope the potato thing works for you!

I sometimes get them in the same area. I put Vicks Vapor Rub on mine. It is safe to use as long as you are not putting it in your vagina. It takes the pain away and will start it healing quickly. Since I started using Vicks I have never had one longer than 2 days.

I put the Vicks on, and reapply every time I go to the bathroom, and even the large boils start to drain within a few hours.

Edit to add: A hot washcloth really helps ease the pain/discomfort.

I would go to the Doctor.
Watch for infection.
If that thing pops... it can spread... to other places possibly.
A boil is full of bacteria.... then it pops, then where does it go? that ooze?

Wear a Panty Liner, for now.
For cleanliness and in case the boil pops or weeps.

Are you sure it wasn't in ingrown hair? I have never had a boil but I have had ingrown hairs from time to time. Once you get the stuff out and the throbbing stops they heal pretty quick. They feel a lot different down under so I would imagine they could seem like a boil.

Overshare? sorry

I got one in the crack of my butt when I was pregnant. My gma told me (as silly as this sounds) cut a raw potato in half and hold it to the area for 15min or longer. After a few times it went away.

Hydro therapy with warm water would help the healing and remove some soreness. It might hurt at first but in a short while it will feel so much better.
Ouch. Sorry :(
