Our two youngest had it. My husband and I never got it while they had it or after.
We tried various things: Rx cream----did nothing; beetlejuice----hurt, burned very much afterward.
One thing our dermatologist told us to do was to put liquid bandage over the spots. I'm not telling you or anyone else to do this, so ASK your dermatologist first before you try it. Your case (size and location of the bumps) is different than ours, and you should definitely seek medical advice from your doctor before you try anything new.
In our case, it kept the bumps covered and seemed to help dry them out over time.
If your doctor tells you it's okay to try this, make sure you label that particular bottle for molluscum treatment only so no one else in the family uses it.
I do think your husband's reaction of yelling at you is a bit extreme. Six months to two years is a long time to deal with a condition, particularly one that can be spread and especially when it is on your hands. Think about it---you use your hands for just about everything you do. Ask your husband how he feels about you touching him on various parts of his body and possibly spreading it and see how he feels about treatment then.
Best to you
