We had a great experience hiring our nanny through Park Cities Homestaffer and working with Adrienne, the owner. We gave her our very specific criteria, and she found nannies who fit the bill. We only interviewed two people before hiring our nanny, whom we have had for 1 1/2 years. She also does all the background and criminal checks. Adrienne has been doing this for over 15 years. She was also very helpful in advising us on how much we should pay and other things involved in employing a nanny because we had never hired one before. We are also paying taxes on our nanny through a payroll service that Adrienne recommended and did not have any trouble offering pay that way. The agency should be the one doing the primary vetting and narrowing the field for you. That's what you pay them all that money for. If you have to do all the work, there is no point in hiring the agency. Adrienne also had a philosophy of placing nannies only 4-6 weeks before they start a job because in her experience any further out than that, something may happen. Good luck!
