YAAAAAAAAAAY NO BOLO!! Winning!! :)
Whew, and just in time :)
BTW, I've been battling my guy, he doesn't want to wear a tie at ALL, but he finally agreed to wear one just for the ceremony and pics :)
Again, WINNING!!
Just a funny little update...
For any of you who remember my wedding attire dilemma - specifically the fiance stating he was going to wear a BOLO TIE to our wedding, I just had to let you know about our conversation today.
I hadn't said anything much about this issue for some time, basically since he first said he was going to wear the dreaded, friggin' bolo tie. LOL He hadn't gotten one, so I was kind of just assuming he wasn't going to wear a tie at all (which I wasn't crazy about, but better than the bolo.)
So this morning, via text, I said to him,
"Would you consider wearing a tie just for the ceremony, then taking it off when we go inside?" (ceremony is outside, followed by dinner inside...)
His reply,
"I don't really want to."
So I said,
"I'm concerned that it is going to look bad that both my dad and son are wearing ties, as it is appropriate to do so when one is in a wedding, and you, the groom, are not.
His reply (brace yourself),
"Ok, gonna have to get one"
I nearly fell off my desk chair and hit my forehead off my keyboard.
So I said,
"I'll get you one! Thank you baby. I know this isn't your choice, and I promise you can take it off as soon as we get inside. This means a lot to me that you are compromising."
Then there was kind of a lapse... he didn't respond right away, and I got to thinking, and my dread set in. I thought, "WHAT IF, BY AGREEING TO WEAR A TIE, HE STILL MEANS THE GOSH DARN BOLO?"
So I sat, and waited, and waited, and waited. Seemed like an eternity.
And he finally replied,
" :) not a problem"
No mention of bolo.
Ladies, dare I say, I think I won?!?!?
Just had to let you all know.... LOLOLOLOL
In keeping with the rules, have there been any battles, of whatever kind, that you've WON lately?
I really strongly disapprove of Charlie Sheen, and everything that has resulted from his plunge off the deep end, but I can't help myself. I have to say it.
WINNING!!!
Google Bolo Tie. It's a western tie.
LMAO @ Jubee!

I am not sure if this technically counts as winning, but I guess it is headed in the right direction. My hubby really wants a new motorcycle and we just do not have the money. I have not flat out said "no way", but I have been pretty clear that it is just not in the budget.
Well, I just went through the bank statement and noticed something strange..... there is money in the account!!
I asked him about it and he said that he quit chewing (12 year old habit), stop going out to eat at work, put his gas powered RC cars on craigslist and refused to stop at Wal Mart for milk yesterday because he knew that he would not be able to walk out with just milk without me there.
All to make room in the budget for his bike. And he is shopping for a USED bike! OMG
It may not seem like a lot, but this is the guy who cannot wait for anything and the biggest fight we have is over his need to have to have newest, biggest and most expensive thing on the market RIGHT NOW.
WINNING!!!!!
Awesome!!! Got get it quick now and show him and be positive...reinforce that he can take it off right after the ceremony asap....Good for you.
SOOOOOOO happy for you!
this just cracked me up! Good for you L.. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....you go girl!!
Haha! I totally knew what this post was going to be before even looking. So happy that you won't have to spend hours photoshopping that horrible tie out of your beautiful pictures!
What have I won lately... paying the extra $200 on the already ridiculously priced cedar swing set to have it delivered and installed. It would have taken my husband 2 weeks worth of nights and weekends to do it, not to mention the nagging and fighting involved (and that's just from the 3 yr old).
haha yay for you!! Definitely made me smile!
Bwahahahahaha @Jo!
Be glad you do not know.. It is actually the kind of western thing that is made of a leather strap and clasped with a siler piece.. Lyle Lovette wears them sometimes.. He can carry it off.. but no one elses I know can..
LOL! Yay for a real tie!!! But, you better hurry up and go buy one before he remembers! haha!
