Our 12 yr old son plays football every Saturday, and our toddlers are VERY BUSY toddlers. I was looking for some idea's to help entertain the children while we are there. I hate the tall bleachers where the children can fall down them, so we tend to be on the ground level to some what watch the game.

I have taken Ziploc bag with stickers, pencil and paper. They loved it!! Sat for quite a while, but now I need you mama's to help with other great idea's, or books with idea's.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I loaded up a bag full of the 2ft by 3ft coloring pages of Diego and Dora with Crayons, a fold out book (the ones that the pages have pictures that fold open to see what they are underneath) a musical toy, umbrella and blankets, and the magical bubbles. Bubbles kept them entertained for a very long time. The Coloring pages brought over the other kids to color. Oh baby wipes was the big hit with the kids. They loved them, for what I still am not sure. LOL Thanks for your idea's and if you have any more, please don't be afraid to share again!!

My 4 yr old son takes a truck thats big enough not to drop in between slats - like a small tonka. My 3 yr old daughter takes her magna doodle. The big pink Babrbie one with the pen thing attached. That way she can draw without losing any pieces. They only have the 1 big toy each and they are responsible for it themselves. They carry it in and out of the stadium. That way I don't hear alot of whining and I dont have to pick up a lot of pieces. It gets me kind of manic when thier stuff is all over the place. I try to always sit near kids thier age so they can make a friend to keep them busy. In my purse I bring gummies and water bottles and maybe a few little goofy gadgets or keychains. I pull 1 little thing out every once in a while if they are getting restless. I also try to take them to a grassy area and have them race each other on some of our umpteen trips to the bathroom. That cuts down the wiggles.

Bring along a small ball that they can play with. Bubbles are always good entertainment for a little while. A magnetic doodle board.

When I was a kid at my brothers' baseball games I loved to play in the dirt and with the insects and frogs around the fields. My mom would give us a bottle of water and I loved to make mud pies and volcanoes with the water and dirt while we sat there by the bleachers. I remember having fun climbing the bleachers, too -- dangerous! We'd sometimes play with balls or go to the playground they had nearby. We also made friends with the other teammates' little siblings.

I have a friend that hires a babysitter to watch her kids. Sometimes the kids stay home and sometimes the babysitter meets them at the field and keeps her little ones entertained..

They sit on the bottom of the bleachers and she always has a small cooler. . Her children are really young and her to older boys are involved in all sorts of sports and her husband coaches, so they have a lot going on each weekend. Her kids all seem really well adjusted to it..

Lots of stamps and ink pads with paper!!! This will entertain my 2 and 4 year old for at least 45 minutes to an hour. For the other half of the time you could take a ball for them to play with together, some snacks and drinks, and you could even get the Color Wonder Finger Paints. My kids love that too, and it entertains them for a while. I am in the same boat as you because my oldest cheers for the football players every Saturday. Best of Luck!

My 2 and 4yr old are glued to TV shows on the ipod during their big sister's violin lesson - it's a lifesaver! If you don't like them to watch TV the whole time, maybe it could be saved for the 2nd half.
