The ability for consumers to pay less for electricity and/or natural gas is *not* a scam. With energy deregulation, ComEd (and/or Nicor) is no longer a monopoly and consumers can choose who they receive their electricity (and/or natural gas) supply from and how much they pay for it. The delivery of the electricity and/or gas still comes from ComEd or Nicor. ComEd and Nicor gas still read the meters, send the bills, supply the energy, and come out for any service related issues or outages.
There are several retail energy providers that are licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission to provide electricity and/or gas services and Ambit Energy is one of these.
Ambit has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau and was listed as the number one fastest growing private company in the U.S. in 2010 by Inc. 500 and made the list again in 2011. (Not just out of energy companies, but out of EVERY company). This is a testimony to how strong and solid the company is. In addition, Ambit's customer service is unparalleled and Ambit has received several J.D. Power awards for customer service.
I have been an Ambit Energy customer (and consultant) since last Spring. Many of my friends, co-workers and family in Illinois and Texas are also customers (some have been customers for years--since before I became a consultant) and we are all very happy with the service, savings and rewards that Ambit Energy offers. If you would like to speak to any of my customers, please let me know and I'll contact some of them to see who wouldn't mind me sending you their names/numbers.
Ambit offers up to 18.7% savings compared to ComEd. You can also save on your gas bill if you are in the Nicor gas territory. We also offer Green-e certified plans.
There is no cost to switch and absolutely no cancellation or early termination fees unlike many of our competitors. This is a huge pro for our company.
As a thank you, just for becoming a customer with Ambit, every customer receives a free 3 day, 2 night hotel stay which can be used at over 25 different locations in the U.S., puerto rico, Dominican republic, mexico, and aruba.
Ambit also has a rewards plan which basically allows you to accumulate reward points just for using your electricity (and/or gas) like you already do. These points can be redeemed for travel rewards like cruises, airline tickets, spa/golf vacations. Rewards can be seen by going to www.ambittravel. com . If you use Ambit for both electricity and gas service, the points can be combined so that they accumulate faster.
The best part of our rewards program is the referral program; however, which allows you to potentially earn free electricity supply by referring customers to Ambit. (My husband and I have qualified for free electricity supply and I don't mind showing anyone who is interested in seeing a bill a copy of our bill).
Like i mentioned earlier, in the state of Illinois energy customers receive only one bill which will continue to come from the incumbent provider (e.g. ComEd, Nicor gas). The transition from ComEd to Ambit is completely seamless and there are no interruptions in service (guaranteed) . ComEd (or Nicor) will still read your meters and send your bills. They are also the ones who still deliver your electricity (and gas) service and are also the ones who will provide you with service in case of any outages. The only difference since you will be using Ambit for your *supply* portion is that your bill will be cheaper. Everything else remains the same for the customer.
I believe that I have covered everything, but if you have any other questions please let me know. You can check out Ambit's current rates and read about all the awards and honors that Ambit has received by going to my website http://sealteam1. joinambit. com or e-mail me and I can forward you a flyer with our rates on it (We provide services in IL, TX, NY, MD, NJ, PA)

If you want to make the switch and start saving 18.7% on your electricity bill you can do that by going to my website above. It takes less than 5 minutes to switch and you'll be so happy to have done it.
I am a consultant for Ambit, so I know my opinion is not unbiased, but I honestly believe that Ambit is a great company with solid leadership and I know for a fact that all of my customers are happy with the savings and service.
