I'm in my 39th week of preganancy and I am suddenly so impatient. I feel like I can't wait any longer. I'm not particularly uncomfortable physically, just tired of waiting!

What can I do next?

In my Experience when you "hit the wall" and just CAN'T be pregnant any longer. Labor will start within 10days. So if you can hang on just a couple more weeks :-)

I know easy for me to say...but seriously 10days after I had major preggo melt down I was in labor.

Hi Melissa,

Here is what you do. You put your left hand in, and then you put your left hand out. You put your left hand in, and then you shake it all about. THEN you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around (in that order). Then your baby boy will be here!

Note to other moms: I know Melissa personally and she is a very good friend of mine, so she knows I'm just being a goofball and trying to make her smile!

Congrats and wishing you a speedy delivery. I had to laugh when I read your post, remembering how impatient I was when I was pregnant with my first. Anxious to hold them, to see what they look like and bring them home to love. It is normal to be impatient. :-) I was also anxious, not so much impatient, with my 2nd & 3rd children. It is hard, but try to enjoy the last few weeks you have alone with your husband and your uninterrupted rest. Your life will be amazing when your little guy comes, and it will be hard to remember how things were before he was around. LOL, but enjoy the me time you you have now.

Good luck!!!!

yes it is hard to wait. my daughter was born on her due date- and I was hoping for a bit earlier delivery but that is not what happened.

Dont forget to take pictures of your belly and your shape at the end of pregnancy- cuase when you look back at the pictures you will not belive it..!!

Dont be afraid of labor- it is only one day... and theyhave wonderful pain meds if you want them..

I am 37 weeks with my second child - and the second pregnancy is a lot harder becuase I already have 1 child to care for... so I dont get tolay on the couch like I did with my first pregnancy..

I understand completely, but try to enjoy this time - especially since you're still comfortable physically!!! :o)
I, too, was anxious in my last month. But I received some good advice from a mom who recommended I use the time to spend with my husband enjoying our time together before the baby comes. Try to rest and relax as much as possible now. :o) When the bundle of joy arrives, you'll be too busy to rest when you want to.

Congratulations and enjoy motherhood! It's the best thing in the world! :o)

I was the same way at the end of my pregnancy, and 2 weeks late on top of it!! My mom always told me that was Gods way of getting you ready for labor. Hang in there it'll be done and over with before you know it.

First of all congratulations! I remember with both of my kids, especially with my first sitting on the stairs and just crying because I thought he would never come out. My mom put it to me the best, "just enjoy the time you have right now to sleep and do it as much as you can." Right now you wont understand, but after your baby gets here although thrilled you will understand what I am saying. Enjoy these last few weeks of being pregnant because you will miss it. Good luck!
