Hi there! It's summer, and I'm once again looking for new ways to entertain my 3 kiddos. I have a 7 yr old boy, 5 yr old girl, and 20 mo old boy. I'm looking for places that will entertain the older ones, but still have something for the little one. I'm tired of Chuck E Cheese and Amazing Jakes. I'm looking for new ideas in the Murphy/Plano/Allen area. We already do enough swimming, so I'm more interested in indoor playgrounds, bounce places and/or any other indoor entertainment. We used to go to Boomerangs, but they closed. Any other ideas? Please help!

Thanks!

We love going to the Pop in play times at Pump it up. We also love the kid play times at WOGA gymnastics - its in Dallas though. The movies Cinemark, AMC, Studio Movie Grill all have cheap $1 movies for the kids during the summer. Sometimes its fun and cheap just to go to a McDonalds and let them play on the indoor play area and get $1 sundaes. The museum of Nature and Science has lots going on and has the IMAX and the planetarium, There are also lots of kids activites at the Dallas Museum of Art - I would just look at their websites.

For the area you are in I would for sure check out the website http://www.aroundtownkids.com - they have tons of ideas of things to do all in the Frisco/Allen/Plano/McKinney areas.

Have fun!!

The Wiggly Play Center in Frisco has closed! My kids are bummed - we used to go there about once a month. Have you tried Jump Town on 15th street in Plano? We also enjoy the mall play areas and splash parks. There is a new splash pad at the Village in Fairview behind Macy's and near the Purple Cow. My kids loved it and I like that I didn't have to get in a swimsuit like I do at the pool! They have some benches in the shade for moms to sit and watch. Have a great summer!

The Allen Event Center has an ice skating rink (a very nice one) and they have inexpensive classes for all ages - even toddlers. The toddlers wear bike helmets. It's a great place to escape the heat.

There is a Pump It Up bounce house place in west Plano.

There is a Wiggly Center in Frisco, based off of the Wiggles Characters. It has an area for small kids and then for older kids. I've been wanting to take my daughter for ages because all of my girlfriends rave about it!

There is a Planet Pizza on the corner of Custer and Parker. The food is not good but they have a lot of little rides and an area for small children, as well as the typical games you find at Chuck E Cheese.

I am not sure where there is an indoor bounce house. I wish I knew where one was because that would sure beat the splash grounds and heat of the parks!!!

Ok, this isn't indoors but I'll recommend it anyway. How about The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney? http://www.heardmuseum.org/theheard/index.asp

There is an indoor bounce house with lots of slides in McKinney called jump land. They have a little something for everyone. It's no where near as big as going bonkers but a nice choice for something close. It's east of 75 near 380 and redbud. Behind SAMs club.
