I am looking for interesting and unusual things to do with my kids. For example...me and my son just took a weather spotter class...free. I'm looking for ideas or not well known locations. I have checked the city websites and found some things. I'll take unusual ideas as well. Thanks

Hi,
You might try picking up the magazine DallasChild, I believe they also have versions for DallasBaby and DallasTeen. I usually find mine at the library. It's a free publication that comes out every month, and at the the back is a date specific calender of events going on in the metroplex. Some are free and some are not, but my family has found lots of fun thing to do from there. They have a website which may tell you where you can find a copy! Hope that helps!

You might want to get the book: Lynda Morley's Outings and Adventure with Children Ages 1-6 & Beyond (it's for the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex). I've gotten some good ideas from it. Hope this helps! -JM

Well I don't have any suggestions for you, but I just wanted to drop a line and say "Holy Cow!!! You have 6 kids and a single mom!!!"

I'm a single mom also, but I only have 3 kids... I know how hard it is with just them and working full-time and school... so it must be one hectic household for you...

Stay strong!!! :o)

Go to each city's Convention and Visitor's Bureau (CVB) and search or request things to do in each city. You can do this online- just type in Arlington (or whatever city) CVB in yahoo and it will take you there and you can look up things galore!

For example, the American Airlines Musuem is free: they have a history of flight movie, a flight simulator, and an old airplane that you can walk in, as well as coloring stations for kids, and hands on stuff.
