Another trick is to hit control or shift (I can never remember which) and "hold it" while you roll the scroll bar on the mouse. The entire screen size goes up and down depending on which way you roll the roller.
My kids are allowed to go online for an hour a day to play on some games and also social games. They did something to the font this past week. It is very large and now I have to scroll over to see the other part of what I am looking at. I have tried my computer's control area and under properties for internet explorer but do not see anywhere to change the font. Does anyone happen to know how to get this back? For example when I go to Craiglist, the font is at least a 28 instead of the previous 14 or so.
I cleared the cookies yesterday and that didn't change the font so I am going to do the scroll thing first. That is probably how my kids changed the font in the first place with out realizing it. Thanks.
Thanks everyone. I tried the scroll thing first and that took me to my previous page-like hitting the back button. I finally found the text option under View-hidden under another option, go figure. That worked but I had to reboot.

Go to your internet tool bar - go to view, text size: there will be several options for you to choose from (these instructions are for internet explorer, I'm not sure about firefox)
Go to the tool bar on top of the screen. Usually there is File, Edit and View next to it Click on View. You will find the option Text size or Zoom, depending upon which web browser you are using. Set it to the size you want and you are done. Hope this solves your problem.
yep. Riley J had great advice. Hold the "Ctrl" button and scroll your mouse. It should allow you to adjust your zoom on your screen. it will remember it for certain websites and not others.
You can also clear your "cookies" or "cache" - in your browser - you might want to query how to do it. Clearing the cookies/cache may reset to original settings.
On my computer I right click on the desktop, Theres an option for Personalize, then I have Adjust Font Size on the left
You already got some great answers, but another one is....there is a little magnifying glass and a percent number on the bottom right corner on my computer screen. (my husband changed it once to check a work email and didn't change it back. I was like "oh no what happened!?") Then he informed me that you can zoom in and out from that icon! :)
If you are using internet explorer..go to the top and you'll see "view", click on that. There will be a drop down menu. Go down to "text size" and click. Standard setting is "medium". That should work.
There is also a magnifying glass at the bottom right corner, make sure it says "100%" if not click the arrow to the right and pick it from the choices.
Control panel to appearances or displays. Not sure what your will say. In there under desktop displays the size can be changed to the default normal 100%. Mine us under themes then display. I hope this helps
Look at the bottom righthand part of your screen. Does it have a little magnifying glass that says 100% next to it? If not, click on it and pick 100%. If that's not it, I'm not sure.
Select view at the top of your computer screen. Scroll down to zoom. I choose 100%, but you can select what works best for you. I've done this before and it took me a little time to figure out how to shrink the font.
From Internet Explorer you have two options from the tool bar. View then Zoom and select the % you want. Or, View and Text Size which is small, medium, large...You may also want to make sure you have the latest version of Internet Explorer which is 8. Your cookies wouldn't have anything to do with font size.
Ctrl and the + (plus) sign together can make the text big, and Ctrl and the - (minus) sign together can make it small again. The more you tap the + or - key while holding the Ctrl button, the bigger or smaller it gets. HTH!
Hit "Ctrl" and "0" together. This brings your screen back to its original dimensions.
