Hello,
I received an IPad 2 from the hubby this year, and am a little overwhelmed with all the app choices. I've loaded a few games on it for my 4 year old, but would love to get suggestions from other moms of apps YOU have found to be fun or useful.
Thanks!

I was given an iPad2 for my Birthday. I have been using it mainly for work.

I just saw this article and I already told my daughter, tomorrow I want her to help me download a bunch of these. "10 Essential apps" !

We share an iPad, so it has lots of games for the kid, plus folders for my apps and hubby's apps.
My favorites (what I have on my iPhone) are:
Facebook
Banks (most national bank chains have mobile versions, makes for easy bill paying & balancing accounts)
IMDb (all about movies--we are always asking "what movie was he/she in" or "what was that movie about xyz" and this app works faster than google)
News (all 3 of our local news channels have mobile versions)
Papa John's (custom order pizza in a flash!)
RedBox (if you rent movies from there--it's quick to see what's in stock at your local boxes)
Fandango (check movie times for local theaters)
You Tube
iHeartRadio (save favorite radio stations)
Pandora ("create" radio stations based on artists/music you like)
Groupon (if you're into coupons and trying new things)
Now for games (I go through phases where I will play a game constantly for a few weeks... then I lose interest), my current favorites are: Family Feud, Cut the Rope, Monopoly, Words with Friends, Plants vs Zombies, Chicktionary, and FarmVille.

Enjoy your iPad!
