So we love California rolls ( can't get into the sushi ) So far we have tried the restaurant Swordfish out in Batavia. It's a really nice place and the rolls were good but it was pricey.( can't afford that anymore) Is there a place In Aurora that make good california rolls/maki rolls and are not so expensive? I even tried the Jewel ones out in Batavia ( someone told me ) but it was nasty. If there is another place that is not in Aurora i'm open to it I can always drive and pick up, but def hoping for some place close to home here in Aurora. THanks for your help.

What can I do next?

Whole Foods (one in Naperville off of 59 and 75th) has great rolls and they aren't too pricey - they also have some salad rolls that are amazing (lettuce, carrot, cucumber, avocado with a peanut sauce for dipping)! Also, try Raku on Ogden in Naperville (used to be Baker's Square)-- they have amazing rolls and again, the prices are decent.

Caputo's! I always go straight in back to the deli, they have someone that literally makes it for you on the spot! We love it! I have also made sushi at home but it takes too much time and can be really messy! Theres one out in Naperville on 111th street....Try them! I love everything about that store and they are reasonably priced to!

I've actually really enjoyed the ones from The Fresh Market up in Geneva. The sushi dude is there everyday making them and if you're there at the right time, you can get ones that he just made 5 seconds ago, which is just as fresh as getting then at a restaurant! I also really love the California Rolls and Crunchy Maki (fried shrimp) Rolls from Kiku in Aurora. They're about $6-8 per roll, from what I remember--hopefully the place is still there, since I used to work in that area but became a SAHM 2 yrs ago.
