Babies R us still has them. I bought one not too long ago and returned it. Did you look it up there?
My daughter will be 6 mths next week and bath time has gotten to be difficult... she cannot sit up by herself at this point but does not want to lay down anymore. I have an elevated net type thing that I am using in the regular tub with a bathmat so she doesn't slip but she keeps trying to sit up. I have a bad shoulder so trying to hold her upright with one arm and bathing her with the other is very difficult for me as it causes pain. She no longer fits in the infant tub and I purchased another tub that was supposed to be for infant/toddler but I did not like it. My daughter slipped and slided and it was more of a pain than it was worth trying to use it.
I am looking for a bathtub ring they used to make that had 3 legs and suctioned to the tub floor... it was round and you set the baby in the middle with one of the ring legs in between your childs legs. Anyway, I've called everywhere and I guess they don't make them anymore. I either need some advise on what to do at this stage because she just fusses the entire time and tries to sit up OR if someone has one of these bathtub rings they are no longer using I would LOVE to buy it from you.
Thanks!!!
I called all the Babies-R-Us locations within 50 miles from me and none of them carried bath seats which is why I sent out this request. I appreciate the person who sent the link to Overstock for the BeBeLove model... at this point I am tired of running around town looking for something so I will just order that one online and count down the days until it arrives :) Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

E.,
What got me through that really awkward phase of bathing was O. of those yellow foam bear-shaped bath aids....I used that (replaces every few moths) for a loooong time. I know you're saying she doesn't like to lie down, but if the netty chair thing you're referring to is the same O. I had--I don't blame her. Is it kind of like a little chaise lounge? I bought that and I hated it and my son hated it. The foam thing is much easier & more comfy....good luck!
Hi,
Glad to hear your little one is having fun exploring. We bought a bath seat from Safety 1st at Babies R Us and used it for both kids. I never used a ring but the chair was perfect until they were really pulling up. I read the reviews at Amazon.com and they are mixed. There are some really common sense things that people complained about like the seat not fitting on the side of the tub- there is a handle that you pull up on and push the elbow rest down and it fits flush- there is no gap. Also, like I said, when baby is pulling up, it's time to retire the seat. Good luck and have lots of fun.
I would call thrift stores too.
I don't know how safe a bumbo seat would be... But maybe it would work?
One step ahead has an inflatable tub..
And lastly, you could spread out some towels and do it in the kitchen sink.
What I did with my granddaughter was use the kitchen sink. She could sit up eventually but not really fall over. I used it from infancy until she was almost a year old. She loved it because I was so close---face to face almost. And you don't have to store a tub, just some toys, baby wash, and a couple of towels.
Check out yard sales! I had one, but got rid of it because I didn't like it, but I've seen them occasionally. Good luck!
see if you can find one on craigslist or ebay. or overstock
