After 3 boys I am finally getting my girl! and I feel so blessed, lucky, happy and on cloud 9, 10, 11 and 12...lol.... However, being that I've only had boys, what can I expect with girls? Even though obviously I am a woman, but I didn't see myself as a baby. So is there really a huge difference between a girl and a boy? Although I am at lost for words right now, I am also a little nervous at this. Does that make sense, is that normal. Oh but I'm excited. Can you tell?

What can I do next?

Congratulations! I think there's more difference in individual personalities than there are between girls and boys in general. It'll take you a while to discover the personality your girl will be born with. In the major areas of child raising, it's roughly the same. All kids need to learn attentiveness, obedience, good habits, courtesy. All kids need to have fun, too! You have a different wardrobe for girls than for boys, and you fold the diapers differently. I had two of each, and that's my take on it.

Congrats!! Well, my baby boy born after two sisters just turned one yesterday and I'm still getting used to having a boy. But so far, there is not much difference except we had to decide whether or not to circumcise and changing little girls' poopy diapers is a little harder--poo can get in all the cracks and crevices and cause UTIs and irritation. The clothes are different of course which is fun...but so far, the only difference I've noticed is that my boy is more of a mama's boy and girls were more independent. My girls are wayyyyyy harder, braver, more active, moodier, social, challenging
than my sis's boys the same age....so I am biased. I think girl drama is harder than fist fights. But we'll see. Soooo wonderful that you are expecting a pink bundle. Enjoy every minute of her--and she'll be well protected later in school! :)

Congrats! It's a total stereotype, but girl babies are more calm than boys and meet milestones (especially talking) earlier. Plus, they get into things less and are less rambunctious.

Nope. Now that my kids are a bit older, the boys are easier!! But my daughter was so easy until about 5...now at 8, she's got a mouth :). But I love her all the same!!

Congrats!

Congratulations!!! I my experience, girls mature faster than boys. My daughter is a know-it-all drama queen with a huge heart. I love her to pieces! At the same time, she drives me up the wall on a regular basis. My boys can be reasoned with in a rational manner--not so with my daughter. But it's so wonderful to have both. I'm so excited for you!

Congratulations!!!

All babies and children are unique.
I was afraid of having a son because our family is 99% girls, even extended cousins. But, after having my son, it seemed like the most natural thing in the world.
I have one of each, by the way, 10 years apart. They have very different persnalities. My son is the mellow one.
