I know I know... this has been asked before.
But just now during my chores, I thought about my son and daughter.
They are 5 and 9.
Growing up but still kids at heart and so adorable....

My son, whenever I go someplace without him, he will tell me "But Mommy! I will miss you..... I miss you so much already!" and he gives me a huge hug and kiss. And then he says "hurry back okay?" And looks up at me with his huge adorable puppy dog eyes.

My daughter, who is 9... she is tall and a 9 year old. But she will still wrap her whole body around me for a hug... and will, when I am sitting down, plop herself right ON top of me, all curled up, like a baby.
What affectionate moments.

Makes ya not want them to grow up....

What are your spontaneous little moments like this?

What can I do next?

Oh, there are so many moments that make me smile :)

My 2 year old son will be off playing with toys or watching a cartoon, and he will come running to me saying "Mommy, I miss you, I hold you!" When he wants me to come play with him. Melts my heart.

My son had terrible acid reflux when he was a baby. He spent a LOT of time in my arms with his head above my shoulder. At a very early age he would play with my hair and for some reason that seemed to calm his crying. He is now 4 and when he is really upset or sick still automatically reaches for my hair. Melts my heart every time he does it now.

My 6 year old daughter loves school but misses Mommy too. She, of course, won't admit that though. When asked if she wanted to go to her grandparents she answered "No, I want to stay home and spend some quality time with Mommy." Don't you know she got a LOT of attention from Mommy that afternoon!

This weekend I was trying to get my 6 year old to give me some loving and she was too busy playing with her cousins. My four year old niece came up to me and said "I will give you some lovings. I guess since I'm the littlest that's my job." Cracked me up but I got some good hugs anyway!

My four year old will walk over and say "kiss, kiss"! I will ask "did you give your mom kisses today?"...and he will say "Not yet!".

My 6.5 year old..."mom I think you forgot to cuddle with me!" or "is it cuddle time?".

Or how they pile onto my lap during TV time on the recliner...I can't even see the TV but we love it.

my 5 yo son winks at me. i told him one time (after he saw me doing it to him the first time) that it means "i love you." so now he does it all the time. it's like our little secret signal.

My 7 year old will squeeze my hand 3 times for I love you. Of course, she does a ton more that makes my heart flutter, but I can't think of anything right now! My 6 month old will laugh at me when I tell her no...that's pretty darn funny!

My 11 month old son just started doing really big squeezy hugs recently. Best. Feeling. Ever. My husband saw him doing it to me this morning and I think was a little jealous LOL!

My 4 yo daughter tells me "Mommy you're the best mommy ever. No one could ever be as good a mommy as you." and also she has a super cute habit ever since she was a baby, of patting us when she is being carried or hugging. Her hand just pats our backs. Feels great!

And my 5 yo when she snuggles up on me in bed, and lays her head on my shoulder when we're reading stories. Love it!!

My nearly year old granddaughter likes to sit on the bathroom counter while her mommy is doing her make up and hair. My daughter gives her a comb which is as long as her arm and she tries to comb her own hair. So cute!

our 4 yr old just started running into a room and telling who ever is in there ( me, his dad, one of his brothers or his sister) " I love you" when we tell him " I love you" his reply is " I love you mo mo mo mo" ( saying more really fast)

I have no idea where he got that since we dont say it to each other in the house. Before my grandma passed away that was her final line "I love you, More". I love hearing it from him and it has a double meaning for me hearing him say it and it melts my heart every time because its coming from him and I would love to be able to hear that line just one more time from my grandma.
