Yesterday while out running errands I stopped and had lunch at Long John Silvers.. I know this place is a love it or hate it for some. My wife is not a fan, so I seized the opportunity to eat there (she's at work obviously).
So does anyone else, when no one is looking... indulge...
it doesn't have to be food, but something you can pretty much only get away with when your alone :)
GodGivenGlory, why do you ask if there is a daddypedia...? does it bother you that I'm here? TOUGH! I've earned my keep.

Buffets.
Wife HATES them. But growing up poor, buffets were this fantastical place where I can eat more value in food than I paid (and not have to eat mac and cheese with hot dogs yet again for dinner). I have at least 3 plates and am simply in love with all the variety.

oooo, i so love to take myself out to lunch or dinner, and i have a secret stash of favorite place. just me, a book and a yum treat, whether it's chinese or an uno chopped salad or a port city java panini with a peanut butter milkshake.
mmmmmm.
but i think the alone-ness with the bookiness is the real thrill for me.
i also love the occasional wallow in junk food tv like america's next top model. and i'm the only one in my family who will watch stuff like masterpiece theater's jane eyre, so that's always an 'afternoon by myself with the teapot' sort of thing.
what a fun thread!

singing along with songs I have no business singing - like 99 problems from Jay-Z, in the car - and I mean I am rocking out at the top of my lungs with it turned all the way up. If you ever pull up beside me, just look away.
my dvr is full of guilty pleasures - like Glee
lately I've had a thing for buying AVON online. The outlet has all sorts of things for so cheap I can't resist.
These are things I wouldn't admit to anyone, not even my husband knows, so, sssshhhhhhhh. our little secret.

My guilty pleasures:
Popcorn. I love PopSecret Homestyle. It's amazing!
Watching "The Gilmore Girls" on DVD. I have the enttire series and have watched it all the way through several times.
Buying really good bread, balsamic vinegar, cheese, tomatoes and basil and making antipasto for myself, then opening a really good bottle of wine with it.
Staying in my PJ's all day on the weekend my fiancee is at drill.
My guilty pleasure is watching Judge Judy. I can't do it when anyone is home, sans the little ones cause I run them off. The rest of the family makes fun of me. :(
Oh my god I just remembered the charms from Lucky Charms! I will eat them out of a box before my kids even realize I bought the cereal. I just stopped buying it because I figured I was being beyond a poor example.... :p

So, this is bad, but last year at Easter I was 9 months pregnant, my husband and were given huge chocolate bunnies, with this even more amazing chocolate substance inside. Of course I ate all of mine which made me feel like even more of a cow, but I took my husbands and stashed it in the freezer in the basement.
I told myself I was going to eat the entire thing once I lost all my baby weight. Meanwhile, my husband cleaned out the freezer downstairs, threw my sacred bunny away, and we literally got in a fight about it when I found out he threw it away!
I know I will never find a bunny like that again!! :(....

My guilty pleasures are the Real Housewives shows. I watch them all. I am so thankful that they finally got a Heather, in Orange County. My husband agrees that she is just like me, except with way more money. I am loving it! Ssshhhhh--don't tell!
ETA: My husband refers to anything that he doesn't want to watch as "housewives". When he doesn't have time to sit and watch TV with me, he says, "Don't you have some "housewives' you can watch until I get in there?" That means anything that I watch but he doesn't.

I write my husband sexy smutty short stories. I always use him as my main male character and then e-mail them to him!
I know I have written a good one when he whips out a printed copy while getting ready for bed and asks me to come lay on his shoulder and read it aloud to him! ;)
That and the cheap sunglass stands on the side of the road...ya know the ones that look like a circus train car that the sides pop open on and there is a big banner advertising inexpensive sunglasses? I stop at the one by our mall at the beginning of every summer and buy myself a pair...I love sunglasses but can't keep a pair to save my life!
And cheesy sci-fi type movies involving killer animals. It SO doesn't fit with my personality but I am a sucker for a good 'Lake Placid' type movie!

I like candy. And I like to eat by myself. Doesn't really matter what it is...healthy or not. So I do when I can!
I also love BBC type historical drama..romance type ones are best. The costumes, the dramatic language. I love it. (Think Jane Austen sort of stuff).
I closed my home daycare yesterday to attend a funeral in the early part of the day, so had about 3 hours in the afternoon before I needed to pick my teenager up from school...a treat for both of us! But I grabbed take out on my way home, came home to the overcast day (even better!), put my sweats on, pigged out on my takeout (not sure why I didn't get dessert too??), and watched Jane Austens "Mansfield Park" which just happened to be on! Just for me, I figured!
All but the funeral part, it was a good day for guilty pleasures!

Chocolate chip cookie dough. If I have time, I'll make it saying I'm going to bake them, but oops, I run out of time, or it's too hot for the oven, or a thousand other excuses. If I really am busy, I buy the Nestle tub of dough and eat with a fork. It's not so much a secret anymore once your husband broadcasts it because he thinks it's so funny.

Old TV Sitcoms - I can sit and watch "I Love Lucy" all day!!! I don't care how old it is, I love that show!!! We just recently got that new station "ME-TV" - I love it!!!! I hardly watch regular stations any more; but then I was so burned out anyways. Seems all the shows are either full of violence or sex; and I have absolutely no interest in those "reality" shows.
Thanks for the fun question!!!

My husband hates Burger King, so I only can get it whe he's not around. I don't even eat meat but I get a whopper (no meat) and put their onion rings in there instead, I love it. I am really craving that salty crunchy fake whopper right now! With the extra onion rings dipped in ranch sauce and a tall Dr. Pepper to go with. MMMMMM!
My guilty TV list is too long (shore, housewives, etc) but right now my current fave is Dance Moms. I decided it was time to break from it for awhile when my 2 year old who can barely talk recognized the commercial (with the terrible mean dance coach's grating voice yelling at the students) from clear across the other room and looked all excited at me and said "Dahs Moms!!!"

My husband's guilty pleasure is Popeye's. When I go out of town for business, he heads over there for dinner. I can't stand fried chicken so bless him for not subjecting me to the smell. My guilty pleasure is cheese. My husband is lactose intolerant and I hate watching him eat cheese because I know he'll pay the price later. When he's not around, I nibble away to my heart's content. Besides I don't have to share which makes it twice as nice.

And I have a twix bar hidden in my purse. I've been waiting for my craving to match up in timing with my son and husband being gone. Lately I may crave it, but the guys are both there. Or when they're gone or not looking, my body's just not craving the candybar. But oh my when the timing is right I will indulge in my favorite treat!
Oh and when I am alone I will also indulge and watch my favorite tv shows off of hulu. The ones my husband can't stand, and they're not really 4-yr-old appropriate: America's Next Top Model and Grey's Anatomy

My husband just goes in another room to watch what he wants to watch when it's on. He just laughs at me. Oh well, I don't like some of the shows that he is into either! Tacos, nachos, or as someone else said, Fuddruckers with the gooey nacho cheese (yum!) --- I'm not interested in paying $10 for a 5 year old's burger though, so it's something I only do when alone and out that direction (like, a couple times a year). In summer, I LOVE a watermelon slush from Sonic. It makes my heart happy. In winter, very occasionally, I will pick up a mocha from Starbucks.
80s or early 90s music cranked up, singing, dancing, nude. I don't know. It's just a thing. Or skinny dipping. Years ago, I had membership to a private beach, where you could go a whole day and see maybe 3 people all day. I'd go to the beach and not wear anything the whole day, just pretend I was on a private island and enjoy the warm water. I'm totally not a nudist in "real life" though. Just around sun, water, or Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself".
Adventures in Babysitting or something similar.
Letting the kids outside so a friend and I can fix a cup of hot chai and just talk. Trashy, unimportant, dishy girl talk.

I love sushi, him not so much. We go to restaurants where we can both get what we love. And I have to go to girly movies with myself or my girlfriends. Good think I like the action and superhero movies, too!

Yes, J., I have some "secret" guilty pleasures and others known to folks in my universe. If it's a harmless thing like eating somewhere your spouse doesn't like, then don't feel "guilty" and simply enjoy. Also, please don't try to make spouse feel guilty over not enjoying something you do enjoy (like by manipulation or complaints) and just appreciate your differences instead.
