A lot of people in my family go by their middle names -- could you use Drew as a middle but have him go by it all the time? It does make things a little tricky sometimes, but it's not that big of a problem.
Trying to decide on a boy's name for our second son. I really like the two syllable first name - one syllable middle name - two syllable last name arrangment...for example, Thomas (fn) James (mn) Lucas (ln). We've (tentatively) decided on the first name Drew so I'm kind of stuck on trying to find a good middle name since it doesn't follow my syllable sequence. Any suggestions??
Drew Alexander was born on June 28th! Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We loved the name Drew so we decided on a longer syllable middle name.

Two syllable first name - Andrew (Call him Drew for short)
One syllable middle name - John
Andrew John
you could name him Andrew but call him drew. then you'd have your sequence back. and he'd have the option to go with a more formal name when he's older if he wanted. of course, you also run the risk of him being Andy, so you'd need to like that too.
I like 3Girls suggestion of going with Andrew and then calling him Drew for short.
Andrew James Lucas
I agree w/going with Andrew but calling him Drew. Both very cool!
Drew James (love that one).
Drew Boyd
Drew Kyle
Drew Alan
Drew Mitchell
Drew Henry
Drew Ayden
Drew Elijah
Drew Oliver
I would also do Andrew and call him Drew. I like James, jack, and John..then you could call him AJ also if you wanted (or if he wants). I also like Blake, Charles, dean, dain, Kyle, mark, Nate, Paul, Tate, and will. My favorite two syllable name is Ryan or Nathan (Nate)! And as much as I love the name drew (I really do!) not so sure that drew Lucas has much of a "ring" to it.
Hey Ana,
If you're thinking about rhythm, how about a three-syllable middle name? I like the single/triple/double sound. I can't think of a bunch of examples off the bat, but just to give you a feel for the rhythm--Drew Phineas Lucas or Drew Oliver Lucas or Drew Lexington Lucas. Again--I'm not suggesting those middle names necessarily--just giving you a possible alternate rhythm pattern. Good luck!
Drew is very handsome!
You're looking for a combo of 3 names, right? So he'll have 2 middle names? How about:
Drew Henry John
Drew William Jack
Drew Emmett Blake
Drew Owen Grey
Drew Quentin Graham
Drew Bennett Reed
I've tried to stick to classic English names with a bit of a literary feel, since that seems to be your (wonderful) style. I hope this helps!

Ah, when you find a name you like that breaks your natural order, go with it. Maybe this son is meant to have a one syllable first name :-). Lovin' Drew!
So are you saying your last name has 2 syllables, like Lucas or are you going to give your kid 2 middle names? I really love the name Drew...but that is not 2 syllables. I would go with Drew...I knew a guy in HS who was named Drew and he was HOT. Middles names like Henry and William and lovely.
