As my fave fella, Michael Buble, released his long awaited Chritmas CD yesterday (and I bought at Target today with the extra bonus tracks...I like to have the hard copy of the faves!), it got me thinking of what other new, contemporary versions of Christmas songs to search for. Usually there are a few classics mixed with some of their originals...thats what I prefer.
Last year I found Sugarlands "Green and Gold". I am a fair weather fan of Country music, especially female voices (no clue why??? on the female singers thing, but it holds true across all the music genres I enjoy! Weird, huh?), but Loved a few songs on this CD, especially their version of "Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanual".
So what other faves do you have, aside from all those Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole classics and such??
I have a ZUNE (not an ipod), and I can search their whole library and get any music free..so hit me with you have...I like most music but rap!
I like the soundtrack to the Charlie Brown Christmas special. Also, it came out a while ago, but Harry Connick Jr. has a Christmas album that I really enjoy.
I get Pandora Internet Radio on my computer and there is a folk holiday music station that I love to have on while I am on here.

Harry Connick Jr's christmas cd is super good. Its not new but we love it! I also love Johnny Cash Christmas. Didn't Taylor Swift make a Christmas albulm last year? I am not a fan of country music but I really like her.

Sufjan Stevens Christmas (5) CD set is one of my all time favorites. I could probably listen to it all year long.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Everything You Want for Christmas is older (04 I think) but is SO good....and "off the beaten path. Mr Heatmiser is a classic track!
