Kid Products You Wish You Would Have Known About Sooner

OK mamas, my son is almost 11 months old now. I just (by chance) discovered a bumkins (I think that's the name) bib. I really wish I would have know about this bib earlier -- great for when your baby eats finger foods since it has a catch pocket, it's lightweight, it's easy to clean plus you can put it in the washing machine... needless to say, I had already purchased/tried other bibs out and I feel like I wasted money now that I have this bib. My question is, what kid item did you discover and wish you knew about earlier (and why). I want to know the secrets!! My other two best recommended products are the sleep sack and butt paste. The sleep sack was recommended from a question I actually posted on mamasource. It has been great for keeping my meatball warm when I turn the heat down to 59 at night (he's as snug as a bug in a rug with his fleece footed PJS and his fleece sleep sack). The butt paste we bought as a joke because of the name (bad beavis & butthead humor with my husband) and now I LOVE IT! So tell me yours... (please keep it to your top three at most) THANKS!!!

Good question! Can't wait to see what others have to say, but here are my top 3, in no particular order!

1. Chair that screws onto table in place of using a highchair - so much easier to clean (most parts washable) and doesn't take up space like a high chair. (Works up to 37lbs)

2. Those 3 or 4 way divided plastic containers for taking pre-measured formula to-go; after my kids were done with formula, I used it for a snack container. Has a lid that doesn't let everything spill out. Can get at One-Step Ahead or Target.

3.Okay, didn't get to this one because my brain is constantly being interrupted by 3 kids - will write again if my brains starts to function again!

We love the sleepsack too! Another favorite is the snack trap. It's great for car rides, playdates, etc. It's a plastic cup w/ handles & a rubber lid. The child can put his hand in the lid & pull out his snack (cheerios or whatever). The only way it will spill is if he shakes it or takes the lid off himself. My son does remove the lid, but I still love using it!

I absolutely would not have lived without the Halo sleep sacks. They are a little on the pricey side, but since my daughter was born in December, they were great to put on over her pajamas.

Also, one of those Fisher Price crib toys that goes on the side of the crib. This one that we had for my daughter had birds that went around and around, played music and best of all played a "movie" on the ceiling that she would watch until she fell asleep. She was a big cryer before we got that, but once we got it, she went to sleep without any problem at all. She would also wake up in the middle of the night and push the button to play it to watch the movie and then would go back to sleep without a peep. My husband and I both agree that it is the best baby toy ever! We joked that we would have to find a way to attach it to the side of her bed since she'd probably still be watching it when she was a teenager! :-)

Also, the nets for putting frozen fruit in when my daughter was teething were an absolute lifesaver. I forget what they are called, but they have a handle for the baby to hold and then you put frozen fruit in the net part and snap it shut. I would put frozen mango in it and it was the only thing that helped with her teething pain. You can get them at Target. They also helped to calm her down when she was getting hungry and wanted a snack.

If I think of any others, I will let you know!!
