We've always had Brighthouse and have never had a problem. In fact, we just switched over our phone and high speed internet to them, too, and got a pretty good deal for going through them for all three services. ($99/month + tax for all three) We occasionally have a problem with the On Demand channels, too, but it's never anything that I haven't been able to solve on my own just by resetting the box.
I have no knowledge or experience with Knology, but my husband works for DirecTV, and well... We have Brighthouse. ;) (ha!)
