Korker Bow Help

Okay, I finally found out how to make the curly ribbon used to make the 'Korker' hair bows. I have curled the ribbon, fray-proofed the ends gathered them with elastic and they look great. BUT all the instructions I have read said to tie the elastic to an elastic ponytail holder. I want to attach it to a hair clip (alligator type clip without teeth).
Anyone know how without the silver clip or elastic showing.

(I covered a clip with the same ribbon to cover it and now I cant attach the elastic without it showing)
Will hot glue hold it? I really would like for it to be secure as it will be in toddler hair.
Thanks for any ideas!
Beth

So What Happened?

Thanks so much, I finally finished my first one! I'm going to change a few things, but I'm really excited about making bows for gifts and for my girls Christmas pictures.
Thanks again.

I line the alligator clip with ribbon (hot glue), partially as I have an older toddler and its easier to slide the clip into her hair if the bottom isn't lined.

I cut the korkers to length, heat seal the ends, and then thread them onto a needle thats threaded with matching thread. Push them to the knotted end and then push the needle through twice more to secure, then tie off.

I then hot glue the bundle to the top middle of the lined alligator clip, then I take two of the curled korkers and twist them around the top part of the lined clip and hot glue for security.

THe link above also has directions on how to line an alligator clip. :)

I've never done the korkers, but I've done a lot of other kinds of bows and I've never had a problem with just hot gluing it.

after I tie my bows I glue them straight to the clip. Just be sure to glue it to the whole length of the clip and it should not show. I do not line my clips with ribbon. I think that the glue easily pulls off from the ribbon and not from the metal clip.
