Labial Adhesion/premarin Cream

My daughter had that when she was 3 (now 5) we used the cream, and everything has been fine since. She did however have some of the moodiness, and vomited a few times, but she has been fine since.

I am not sure about this cream. I was prescibed it for my daughter who was 6months at the time. I didnt think to much about it since she didnt really have any side effects at the time, and yes it did work. Unfort I had to keep using it. The labial adhesions continued to come back off and on. Her doctor told me it was safe to continue to use until it corrected itself on its own as she got older. She in now 6 and since feb we have been having major stomach issues with her and no one can find the cause. After months of blood tests, and also a colonoscopy, and endoscopy they are at a loss for words. I found it funny that no one (doctors) would do a simple ultrasound like i had asked for. I live in Key West Florida and to go to a specialist we had to drive for 4hrs everytime they thought up of another cause for her pain. Recently I finally found a doctor who did the ultrasound and to my suprise my daughter has 2 cysts on her right ovary. I am wondering could premarin be the cause? Just something to think about and research alot before putting your daughter on this cream.

I don't know anything about the labial adhesion but I just wanted to point out that although premarin cream is still made with horse urine, that the cream itself is a lot more safe than it used to be. Also your daughter is young, so she probably won't even realize what's happening if the side effects you mentioned occur. Good Luck!

My daughter had that to the point of almost needing surgery. They gave me premarin cream and it worked. It took a while because it would open and then close alittle but after a while it stayed open. It worked great, and a better alternative to surgery. My daughter is now twelve and it didn't really effect her. I would give it a shot, it works.

HI it sounds like what my now 8yr old daughter had when she was around 4. I used the cream and she was and is fine now. So you shouldn't worry.

My daughter's had an adhesion for just about ever (from the time she came home from the hospital). It got more and more closed and we did the Premarin in the spring. She had absolutely no side effects from it and it made a really noticeable difference in the adhesion right away.

This really is more than a cosmetic issue - if it closes completely and she can't pee, that's a serious situation. It sounds like she really does need to have it opened up. I'd say go for it.

My daughter had this as a tiny baby and we used premarin cream for a long time because it would open close alittle and finally open and stay open ... We had no side effects and shes almost 3 now and fine.. Remember too that the side effects are the premarin cream are not common and a lot less severe and ricky than surgery ... so I would definately use the cream ..... K.
