Leap Pad Again

Ok, I should have asked this this morning about getting my 4 year old a leap pad. She uses my iPad all the time. Will she be disappointed or will the leap pad be enough? She is my oldest, so it can get passed down to other kids, but I don't want to waste money on something that has expensive apps and games if she will just want to use my iPad!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We decided to buy my daughter her own tablet, maybe a Fire. I explained how she could stream netflix on it, and she loved that idea.

Get a Kindle Fire. It's $199 and so worth it. Apps are cheap if not free. Leap Pad games are $20 and up! And really....kids get sick of their games pretty quick. It's also awesome to put a movie on or netflix. You can also put books on them. They are a great tablet.

My 3 1/2 year old LOVES her leap pad explorer. I downloaded several games and videos for her and she uses it in our car when we go for longer drives. it uses batteries but you can buy a wire to plug it into an electrical outlet.
I don't think it would be a waste of money at all, good luck :)

Oh she will still want to use your iPad! LOL!!! They just don't all have the same games. She will like the leap Pad though. My mom bought my son one at the beginning of the year. It has a camera and lots of games, but my son like a certain game that is on my iphone and he can't get it on the leap Pad. :-)

I don't know what the LeapPad is like, but it sounds like fun. I just wanted to mention another possibility. The iPod Touch. It can use almost all of the same apps as the iPad but is smaller. You can share an account, and you'll get all the same apps on both or create a separate iTunes account for apps you only want on her Touch.
