I read a few reviews that the Leapster L-Max has some problems. I want to get the Leapster L-Max because it can be portable and hook into the TV. However, I've read some people are having troubles with the system especially if they plug into the TV. So I was wondering if I should get the Leapster Learning System, it's portable and I've read great reviews on it but it doesn't attached to the TV. Any suggestions?
I don't know about the leapster thing but have you considered doing childcare in your home? I'm a registered provider in OREGON and I make $500.00 on 1 fulltime child alone. You can make up to $2,000/month by taking on a few FULLTIME time kids or what ever you need. Just a thought:)

I have an L-Max. I have never had any trouble with it but the kids never use the t.v. function so I would suggest saving some money and just buying the regular Leapster. The L-Max game cartridges that work on the t.v. are more expensive than the regular cartridges as well. But be sure to buy the charger base because the thing eats batteries. Also, the carrying case has been a big help to keep the cartridges from getting lost. Hope this helps.
We have both, I prefer the portable one, we can take it EVERYWHERE and both of our children love it!!!
My Son has the L-max and he loves it. We have never had any problems with it. There are some games that can only be played on the L-max but the regular games work with it as well. I highly reccomend it.
