I had a LEEP 10 years ago, and from what I remember, there wasn't any recovery time. My son was just born and my daughter was 3 and I think I even drove myself home. I hope this helps.
Has anyone ever had a LEEP procedure? If so, how did you feel afterwards and how long to recover? I'm a "single" mom until Dad returns from deployment, just wanted to make sure I can handle my 1 yr old.
Thank you all for sharing your experience, it was very reassuring. I'm home now, kid is at daycare and the drugs are wearing off like normal :-) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, so I'm hoping for a fast recovery! Appreciate everyone's input, thanks!

Based on my bad experience I would have to advise do not do anything to strain yourself, including do not push when you go to the bathroom.
I had one done and during the procedure my heart was racing so fast i thought I was dying...but after wards is not a big deal. It's like having a light period and I functioned normally...rested a bit after for my heart had to go back to normal rhythm...
Functioning to take care of a child...not an issue...but if you have friends, call on them to go with you..and to help the rest of the day.
I had severe displasia, and a a pretty big leep procedure 6 years ago. (they had to remove more of it, bcs my displasia was more widespread.) I had bleeding for about a week, but was light and a pad could handle it. I was out of work for a few days (I think 3), but was fine to walk around and stuff. I didn't have kids yet, so I can't recall if there was restrictions on lifting them or not. I think you will be okay if you take it easy as much as possible. Maybe skip baths for a few days for the baby, and hopefully you have someone that can take her for you for a while so she can get some active play. Good luck.
I agree with the other posters....you should be fine. I had one done several years ago now and I didn't have kids yet, but I don't remember it being that big of a deal. I was a little crampy and there was some light bleeding, but unless your doctor tells you otherwise (and you may want to confirm just to be sure), you should be okay to take care of your little one. Just be sure of any lifting restrictions, although I honestly don't remember there being any. I haven't had any problems since I had my procedure done and that has been more than 7 years ago, so you're gonna be fine! Good luck!
I'd say get help that day too..I had light bleeding and some cramping. Lie down with a hot pad, advil. Maybe it can be a special movie day with your little one in bed? My naturopath had me take extra folic acid afterward and my ob said it was the fastest she had ever seen someone heal.
I had leep procedure years ago. I did not feel well enough to drive home afterwards and but after a few hours felt fine. The next day it was like I had my period. I would definitely say you do want to find someone to help you that first day... Good luck!
I would get a friend to hang out and lend a hand the first day or two.
I had this done about 2 years ago and from what I remember, my only major problem was that I was bleeding for about 3 weeks and it was heavy at times. Other than that it was no big deal. Just make sure to not strain yourself the first few days. Don't lift up anything that is too heavy.
I had it done 3 years ago and felt fine. I drove home just fine and had no trouble with my 3 boys by myself. The doctor gave me a prescription for vicodin that I filled but I never felt bad enough to take it.
