T.K.
so not what I expected this question to be about. Answer is still the same though.
As Beyonce put it......
to the left, to the left, everything you own in a box to the left.
A question about a son being able to use both his left and right hands got me to thinking....
Are you left-handed, right handed or somewhere in between?
I can eat and write with both my left and right hand. I can also manipulate the mouse with my left - which seems to throw some people...I PRIMARILY write with my right hand but I can do left. My sister is like me and ambidextrous. My best friend is wholly left handed and cannot write or eat with her right...and all three of her kids are right handed!!
Greg, my son, is like my - and ambidextrous. He can play baseball (throw and hit) left or right...His right is stronger in throwing than his left.
Nicky is straight righty..as is his daddy.
So where do you land? Left, right or both?
aaah Tracy....like to keep people on their toes. Don't assume that everything I do is political in nature...I love to laugh.
And I love that Beyonce song!!!

Right handed. Completely. But I have some mean monkey toes. Never underestimate the power of a good foot maneuver!
Strong Right, just like my political stance, like you already didn't know :)
I USED to be ambidextrous.
Now, I'm mostly right handed, but I've been trying to get my left up to snuff (I'm practicing handwriting with my son. We can BOTH groan and rub our cramped hands!!! And I sure don't get frustrated with how long he takes! Not when it takes me as long and I've been writing for years!
My husband is STRONGLY left handed, but his grandmother tied his left hand to his body and forced him to use his right.
Side effect? BRILLIANT guitar player. He plays "right" which means his strong lefty does amazingly complex/ fast/ skillful fingerings, while his right he can use fingers or pic... again, in some truly amazing speed and patterns. The man has played with some of the legends and not only held his own, but been asked back to jam / record/ etc whenever they're in town. My husband is a lot of crappy things, but he is one brilliant musician.
I'm right handed, but only do left handed cartwheels, and hold a hockey stick 'left handed'. Roman's in between right now, which doesn't surprise me, because both of his little brothers are ambidextrous.
The girls are both rightys
Like I said, I'm a righty, my one brother is a righty, my youngest brother is a lefty!!
So yeah :)
I am outnumbered...Lefty in right world. :)
I was a strict lefty but in my school they discouraged it and back in the day, they even tied my left down to my leg in order for me to use my right. SO in EVERYTHING I use my left, in writing and drawing, I use my right. I have 1 right handed child, and 2 lefties. Husband is strictly right.
I thought this was going to be a political question. HA!
I am SOOOO right-handed. And right-eyed. The ONLY thing I think I do with my left hand is deal cards (I hold them in my right, deal them with my left. Not sure if that's the norm for right-handed people or not).
Husband - mostly right-handed. But LEFT-eyed. Which is hard for shooting a gun. Sometimes he shoots left-handed.
I'm extremely right handed. My left hand is worthless, except for typing! My sister is a rare "true ambedextrous". She writes equally well with both hands, and shifts back and forth in the middle of sentences. She eats, cooks, throws, everything with no dominance.
My son is right handed with writing, but bats left, bowls right, kicks with whichever foot he wants. Hubby is mostly right handed, but can eat or bowl left.
I'm left handed. Only one in my whole family, extended too lol. It's the craziest thing. But, I am able to use my right hand for just about anything. Especially after I had my son. Sometimes you dont get to choose if you are left or right handed! You just use which ever one you can!
we're all righties...
my sis & her ex are both righties, but have 2 out 3 kids as lefties. Crazy!
I'm a lefty, although because there were never enough left-handed scissors in school, I learned how to use my right hand pretty decently to cut paper (or I never would have finished projects on time). I also kick and bat like a righty.
Husband is right-handed and so are my kids.
Me - total righty
Husband - both but stronger right
Daughter - both but stronger left
Son - righty
I primarily use my right hand but can use my left hand almost equally.
Darn...was hoping for some good political discussions today.
We are all right handed.
Hahaha!! I had a well thought out answer of my political beliefs prepared. You threw me off! I'll save it for next time ;)
I am in between I can use my left hand well, and write well. If I spent time on it, I could write perfectly with my left.
My husband and I are both right handed. Everyone in our entire extended family is right handed, but both of our children are left handed. We have no idea where that came from. Our oldest uses only his left hand, and our youngest writes with his left, but gross motor skills are done with his right.
Ambidextrous!! Right is stronger than my left - but I am VERY thankful that I have the ambidextrous capabilities! I have carpal tunnel in my right hand and there are times when it is HARD to write with my right hand.
Both my boys are firm righty's.
So not what I expected either! LOL
But oddly enough....I gotta say....I'm a RIGHTY -- on this particular issue.
