We make these pretty often since they are easy and healthy.They are a little spicy, but you could definitely adjust the heat by adding less garlic sauce or jalapeno.
Chinese Lettuce Wraps:
3/4 lb chicken breasts, cooked (I usually boil them till cooked through)
3/4 cup fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
2 Tbs lime juice
2 Tbs soy sauce
1 jalapeno
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chili-garlic sauce or any other hot sauce
Put all ingredients in food processor and pulse till combined.
We like to top our lettuce leaves with a bit of the chicken mixture, shredded carrot, shredded daikon (it is like a radish), shredded purple cabbage, and a little bit of peanut sauce, which you can get in the Asian foods section of the grocery store).
