I have been feeling lightheaded now for about 3 days and don't know why. I'm not pregnant. I don't think it's getting any worse. I have 3 kids who depend on me and It really bothers me to feel like this. I had vertigo last summer and this is very mild compared to that. Just wondering if anyone has experienced feeling like this and what the outcome was? I am making a doctors appt. today. Thanks for any responses:)

It could be vertigo even though it's not as bad as it previously was. I have vertigo and it can be very mild or very severe or anywhere in between. It could also be your blood pressure or your blood sugar. Good luck in getting it resolved!
It could be your blood sugar--and that does not mean connected to diabetes or anything like that (a friend freaked once). I have had it happen when totaling cutting out sugar of any kind. I usually feel better after having an apple or other fruit. Also, dehydration can cause lightheadedness or dizziness. Also headaches. By the time you are feeling thirsty, you are already dehydrated.
Allergies? Or low blood sugar. I have low blood sugar so I often get that light headed feeling. It could also be your iron level. If your iron is low then you can feel that way. Do you take a multivitamin? If not, try that.
My guess would have been hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), but it's usually fixed within 15 minutes of consuming carbohydrates.
If you have a piece of candy, some juice/soda (non-diet), anything with about 15 grams of carbs, and it goes away, that may be your source.
I'd definitely follow through with the appointment with your physician to see what they think and have appropriate bloodwork/testing done.
Good luck!
I had the same thing happen to me, I ended up having an elevated blood pressure!
Inner ear infection or low blood sugar were my first guesses. It's good to have a Dr check it out.
It could be an inner ear issue also. Good luck at your appointment!!
If you have hit your head or changed pillows. etc. If it is not an inner ear issue, you could have your C1 or C2 of you spine subluxated. Very easy fix by your chiropractor.
