Little Mermaid Cake

I just made an Angelina Ballerina cake for my daughter, because I had trouble finding anything Angelina. You can print out a simple image on the computer then place the image under a plastic baggie. I colored the printout before hand to help me remember the colors. Then use white almond bark, and food coloring to paint on the image. I set it in the freezer to make sure it would be hard. Afterward, I decorated the cake and just placed the image on top. My daughter loved having her very own specially made candy.

My daughter loves the Little Mermaid too and we got her the cupcake cake at Target. It was okay but I was having trouble finding it in my area over the summer for her birthday.

Texas Star Bakery in Hurst makes super yummy cakes, and does incredible decorating. I love their 3D cakes. We have had a frog, a fire truck, a pirate ship, and some just round cakes--and we have NEVER been disappointed. I am sure they could make a great Little Mermaid cake--just call them and tell them what you want. I am also always surprised at how low the cost is whenever I make special orders.

They have Little Mermaid cake pans at Michaels and it wouldn't be hard to decorate! I have a soon to be 5yo daughter and we've always done character cakes, 2 layers, chocolate cake with raspberry preserves between the layers. YUM.
