I am confused - when you say it gets tangled with things in the drier, are you referring to loose hairs in the dryer get tangled with clothing, or her hair gets tangled in her hair dryer when she is drying it? If the latter, tell her to move her dryer further from her head! The former, not much she can do other than cut it.

I fin using the High, sturdy setting I have more issue. It really only tangles on delicates and strapp, and less like so if I use the delicate cycle. Also have her check the clthing and shake it out well in between the was and dryer. As the hairs dry, the shrink, so if I you can catch them before the dryer they are easier to go off the clothing.

There is a hair dryer that has a protector on the back where the air gets sucked in. I think it was a Conair that I used when my hair was long (past my but long) and it had a mesh (kinda like really fine chicken wire) over the coils in the back where hair would get sucked in. You had to clean it every time you used it or you would get build up but they gave you a brush to do it with. Tell her to go to Ulta and talk to the gals there about hair dryers too, they have used many on the wall themselves.

As well learning how to do a proper blow out and how to properly section hair off is key to this... this is where YouTube comes in handy there are TONS of tutorials on these things.

Is this shed/broken off hair that's tangling up in the clothes dryer?
If it's shedding it's probably part of it's natural growth cycle, and she needs to brush regularly (before a shower) so she collects it on the brush (so it doesn't go down the drain or anywhere else).
It's normal to lose about 100 hairs a day, so brushing once a day, or every other day should catch them in the brush.
We tend to lose more right after we've had a baby (being pregnant keep natural shedding down, so when it's over it catches up with it) or if there's a thyroid problem (a severe drop in thyroid activity will cause massive hair loss).
If it's breaking off, it's being treated too roughly (and will look awful with split ends) and/or her nutrition/health is being stressed in some way.
If she can braid it at night, she can keep it from getting tangled/snarled.
If she can braid it or have it up in a bun during the day, she'll keep it from getting tangled in the seat belt, sitting on it, having it blow out the car window, etc.
I let my hair air dry - no blow dryer on it unless the heat is turned all the way off.
I gave up on perming, curling irons - anything that heats/cooks my hair.
I gave up commercial hair dye and only henna it once every 8 or so weeks.
Treating it carefully keeps it looking great, and I don't have hair all over the house (or in the dryer).

If she has that much hair, she could spare 10” and donate it to Locks of Love. Those poor children need it more than she does, especially if it’s getting in the way all the time.
