I think you may be referring to Stealh Health. It's a great cookbook. There is even a recipe for brownies that is made with a can of beans. I made it, and it is good.
Hi everyone =)
I'm trying to find this book that I heard about somewhere where you can make healthy meals and your kids won't even know they are filled with lots of nutritious things. Does anyone know the name of the book? I believe it is fairly new. My daughter (who will be 2 1/2 in March) is such a picky eater! She is still having a problem getting in those 2 year molars (her gums get inflammed maybe once a month but the teeth never break the gums), and I think it might have to do with her not eating meats! She doesn't bother with the stuff that's too hard. I really want to be able to sit down as a family and have everyone eat the same thing! I'm always having to make something different for her, because she won't eat what my husband and I eat! She will eat eggs, pancakes, spaghetti (no meat), grilled cheese, pbjs, chicken nuggets (SOMETIMES), mac and cheese, peas, corn, cereal, oatmeal, and cereal bars like nutri grain, or nutripals. Because of her limited food choices I make sure she has a vitamin a day, and she drinks pedisure. If anyone else has an eater as picky as mine and you have found a solution PLEASE HELP!
Thanks to all of your responses =) I purchased the Deceptively Delicious on ebay for 10 dollars new! I'm hoping it is one of the best 10 dollars I have ever spent =) This gets the veggie problem out of the way....I'm just going to keep pressing on the meats. I really think it's a texture thing as far as not wanting meats.....wish me luck =)

I was given the Jessica Seinfeld cookbood for Christmas and probably won't use it. I have heard that it takes a child at least 15 trys before acquiring a tast for food. I think we (including me)give up too easy on letting our children try different foods.
P.S. My 18 month old and 3 year old don't eat hot dogs pizza or mac and cheese. Love carrots green beans and salads.
You may be looking for The Sneaky Chef (Missy Chase Lapine)or Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food (Jessica Seinfeld). Both came out recently... and there's been a lot of talk about Seinfeld potentially plagiarizing Lapine's book.

Sometimes I sneak green beans in my little ones turkey or tuna sandwich. Sometimes she looks like she noticed something, but she just keeps on chewing. I also still feed her babyfood squash and sweet potato because she will eat it. I always present it as desert and she gets really excited. She is a 2 YO
Hi!
My husband bought me Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld for Christmas and I love it! I am also due in April with a baby boy, and truthfully I don't think I eat enough veggies so I wanted to eat better as well. I have made about 10 things from the book so far and my family has LOVED all of them! I have a 7 year old daughter who is a pretty good eater, but almost always leaves her veggies on her plate (unless it is corn or salad with ranch). I think he got the cookbook at Costco, which might be a bit cheaper than the book store if you have a membership. I work full time teaching third grade, so I did make the purees on Christmas break and freeze like the book says to do, and now it's easy to throw them in. Using organic baby food is a good idea too.
The purees you make (like carrot and butternut squash) are sooooooooo easy. You just steam or bake the veggies and throw them in a food processer or blender until smooth. They smell so yummy and fresh when you whip them up that I plan on making the baby some when he is ready for solids!
Good Luck! I highly reccomend the book, and she has some fun and cute family stories in it as well.
I have one called Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. Very good! You "hide" pured fruits and veggies in regular food. It has recipes for pancakes, spaghetti, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and chicken nuggets so you can keep making your daughter's go to meals but hide healthy veggies and fruits in them without her knowing. There are many, many recipes in this books so maybe you can slowly expand your daughter's cuisine over time. Enjoy!
The two books are indeed The Sneaky Chef by Missy Chase Lapine and Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. You do not need to buy both because they are remarkably similar including many of the recipes. It is really the concept that is important and it is about pureeing the veggies and putting them in with food that matches the color. For example squash or carrot puree mixes in with mac and cheese. I put peas or broccoli in with all my ground meat. It is true no one knows the difference, not even my husband. I have three kids and work so i just don't feel like I always have the time to puree, so I usually just pour in the organic jars of baby food. Chas Lapine says to still serve veggies at every meal, which I do. I figure it's just that added bonus to the meal to "hide " some veggies in it! Congrats and good luck
The book is written by Jerry Seinfeld's wife (Not sure of her name) and is called Deceptively Delicious. Good Luck!
Hi T.,
the book is from Jessica Seinfeld (Jerry Seinfeld's wife). You can find it at Barnes & Nobles. Good luck and congrats on your expecting baby boy in April.
