Spring First Assembly of God North on I45 left on 2920. They have a fantastic Childrens program.
Hey Moms,
For various reasons my husband I felt we needed to leave our church. I had been there for 3 and 1/2 yrs and my husband for 5. It was a hard decision that came from a lot of prayer and just thinking things through and took about a year to make, just letting you all know it was no light thing for us. So now we need a church home. Neither of us is used to being "homeless" and visiting churches is not something we are really used to either. So I just wanted to throw this out on the board and see if any of you could recommend a great church. We live in Bear Creek/Copperfield area and don't mind a short drive, but would love something relatively close. Our ideal church would be a place with great praise and worship and with a message that is word of faith meets Godly character. We are faith people but believe whole heartedly in taking personal responsibility and developing Godly character. We are looking for a full gospel church with a great kids ministry and would like to go somewhere with like 150+ members. Our last church had gone down to about 10 or so and we would really like to go somewhere that is thriving. I know it sounds like a laundry list of our needs but we just want to find a place to plug in, make friends and grow with God. So if you know of any great churches, please let me know and if you can put the web link in your response, that would be so awesome too. Thanks so much:)

This response is based on the idea of you living in bear creek, northeast of Conroe.
I didn't know if Conroe is too far for you so I wanted to make 2 suggestions. Our church is in Conroe, corner of league line and 45, next to cracker barrel. Assembly of God. It's a wonderful church. We love it dearly. We have been members there for 3 years. I don't know if I would consider it full gospel, but the childrens ministry is great. It is home of Lifestyle Christian School and The Depot child daycare. I totally recommend this church, but if Conroe is too far for you, there is a church called The Fathers House just north of cut n shoot. I don't remember where exactly. That church was planted by members of our church. I think that may be a full gospel church. I know that the pastor is Regina, who is a really great lady. I'm not sure of how big it is, nor do I know about the childrens ministry or anything else. If you want to know of our church, google "ag-Conroe" and you should find it. If you ever listened to 88.3, our pastor hosts "the quarter hour of wisdom" mon thru fri at noon and 6 pm. May God be with you as you look for your new home. God bless!
Love, love, love The Met (Metropolitan Baptist Church). It is so family friendly with a great community spirit. There is one at Jones Rd. and one at Fry Rd.
I love my church! I go to Holy Covenant UMC in Katy. The website is http://www.holycov.org/ We have a great children's ministry and wonderful Sunday School classes for adults. (I am in Cornerstone)We have an 8:30 service and an 11 with Sunday School in between. There is a "Wiggle Worship" during the 11:00 worship service for those I believe 2-5 if you would like your son to go there. I would love to answer any questions for you that our website doesn't!
