i have very long hair now and i want to get it layered, i am not sure of any good hair salon to get it done at, any suggestions are very much appreciated, esp low cost ones, i cant afford alot of money to get it done, but do want it done. i would like it done where the layers can curl easily etc, also if anyone themselves does hair, thats fine too, i live in kent, wa, thanks for any advice :)

I've had great luck at the GM Aveda Institute. It's on Capitol Hill so it's a trek for you, but I've been going there for nearly 4 years and haven't had a bad cut yet. I just got it cut Tuesday for $18 and it's a great cut. About shoulder length, lots of layers. My hair is curly, but the cut works really well for me. The girl I saw was Laura and she was also really nice.
I have had the best luck with Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty in Federal Way. My next door neighbor is actually attending the academy and I've had her cut my hair as well as my daughter's and husband's. They've always been great! If you go......as for Jolene. She's great!

I have gone to a place in Renton called Hair We Are for 25 years. Their speciality is layered hair. I have thick, curly long hair and until I found them, never been happy with the way they cut my hair... Ask for Robin or Rosemary. I recommend them highly. Near where the Spirit of Washington Train Station is.
