Taylors Bakery...hands down. Two locations, one at 62nd and Allisonville and one in Fishers on 116th, just west of the railroad tracks.
I'm looking for a really, really good red velvet cake. I live in Lawrence Township; so, looking for something in Castleton/Fishers/Noblesville/Carmel area. Any recommendations?
I know where to get it back home (south Louisiana), but that doesn't help much here :(

Try Taylor Bakery in Fishers.
Have you checked out Atkins Desserts? I think there is one on Allisonville Rd in Fishers. I personally haven't been there, but have heard that they don't do anything bad.
Crawford's Bakery makes an amazing red velvet cake. Their main location is downtown at 16th and Capitol. However, I think they also have a location in Carmel at 116th and Rangeline.
Are you looking to BUY one or make it yourself? I have a KILLER red velvet recipe that I use for Christmas and cake requests. I use half the amount of oil, use yogurt, so it's REALLLLY moist. I live in Fishers.
you might try Classic Cakes in Carmel... not positive (but pretty sure) if they have red velvet but the cakes are wonderful. My girlfriend decorates cakes there and they really do a nice job.
go on line perhaps to Martha Stewart
find the recipe
make a day of teaching these three girls
how to make a great red velvet cake -- WITH LOVE
that's what I'd do. june
Oh my - do I have the place for you....
Classic Cakes in Carmel (116th & Rangeline Rd). Unbelievable!
I just ordered a cake for my daughters birthday next week. This is the best cake place in town.
