There's a really nice park behind Park Vista High School off of Jog Rd between Gateway and Hypoluxo. It's part of the West Boynton Recreation Center, and there's a really nice covered pavillion plus a nice enclosed playground area.
I'm throwing my son's 1st bday party next month and am having a hard time finding a park that I like (I checked out Intercoastal Park and the Meadows Park but not to thrilled with the people I saw hanging around).. Can anyone give me any suggestions on parks that have coverings/pavilion/bbq grills, etc in the Delray/Boynton Beach area?

Well depending how far you want to go. West Boynton has a park off of Jog Road near Park vista High school. (between Gateway & Hypoluxo). Their is also John Prince park on congress in Lantana, Lake worth area across from JFK Hospital.Another one which is much further north west is Okeeheelee Park west of Jog road on Forest Hill blvd. I hope this helps..Don't know of any in Delray sorry...
I cant remember the name of the park but its by the new high school on jog rd just north of la chalet. Anyway they have a nice park there we were going to use for my daughters first but it got messed up in the hurricane and had to be fixed

Hey Kristy!
We ran into the same problems with Brandon's parties! We settled on Meadows park mostly because we live behind it and it was convenient, but I feel the same way as you did with the people hanging out. You might want to try the Palm Beach County park behind Park Vista High School in Boynton. I can't remember the name, but they have pavillions and BBQ grills and as far as I know it seems pretty clean and a good crowd. You would probably have to call Palm Beach county Parks & Recreation to see if something like that were available though. Good luck!
