Spring Creek is in Garland on Beltline, between Jupiter and Shiloh. I noticed another poster about our church and I just had to second the nomination.
I am in love with Spring Creek. Let me tell you why.
Church has become relevant in my life. This particular church is geared toward every part of ones life. My teenager will often note that it seems like he, Pastor Keith, was talking about something that happened to her a few days ago.
Having always admired the seemingly radical transformation people I know in my family had made after becoming "born again", I felt like I would have to be older to reach that level of connection with God. You know, sew your wild oats and all that, and then be the good girl that God could love.
One of the things I appreciate about my time there is knowing that I am OK with God right now, just the way I am. There were places I have been in the past, where that didn't seem to be the teaching. Of course God loves you and all of that, you can find anywhere. This pastor really helps his audience to find peace with their individual struggles, hopes, and reach whatever it is you are looking and didn't even know you wanted, with ease.
If you go to the website, you can watch last weeks message online. The weekly messages are parts of a series, like little short stories. Usually four or five services are devoted to the same topic. We see demonstrations of media and art via televison, movie clips, and even MTV music videos. They intertwine into what the messages are in an entertaining and humorous fashion.
The church really has an interest in the community around us and doing selfless things that make you feel like you are making a difference, and doing God's work.
I can go on, and on. I wish you and your family luck!
Cheers,
C.
