I recommend Nativity Women's Birthing Center. They are located off I 45 feeder road going south off Woodlands Parkway. It is definitely a more natural appraoch. Call them and arrange for a tour. Melanie Dossey is the Director.
I am planning to start a family and I am looking for a Ob Gyn near The Woodlands, Tx. What doctors that are more towards having a natural delivery. I would like to have the least medication as possible. I have heard there are doctors who decide to do c-sections too early. This is something I would prefer not to do unless it's an emergency.

Try the Women of the Woodlands practice; they are wonderful. During my pregnancy I saw 2 of the on call ladies and my regular doctor and they are all very compassionate and great doctors. They have a website:

They deliver out of Memorial Hermann in the Woodlands and the hospital is amazing. The birthing area is state-of-the-art and all of the nursing staff was wonderful. I had to switch to them in the middle of my pregnancy because we moved 3 hours away and I was treated like family there. I hope this helps.
I see Dr. Everson or the PA, Lisa, at Woodlands ObGyn Associates. They are fantastic! Dr. Everson will be delivering my baby boy around Christmas. They are great about explaining what's going on (something the doc I had with my first son didn't do!) and answering all your questions without making you feel like an idiot. =o)
Their office is actually in Medical Plaza 3 at the Woodlands Memorial Hermann Hospital. I haven't done the hospital tour yet, but I hear it's a fabulous facility! Of course most of that is from my father who works at the hospital, but I've heard the same from other moms.
Terri Scott at the sadler clinic behind st. Lukes is who I use and I love her! She is sweet and patient.
I agree with Adrienne. I had a terrific experience with the staff at Women of the Woodlands and delivering at Memorial Hermann was great. It was my 3rd and by far the best! I saw Dr. Andrea Richter-Werning with Women of the Woodlands but the whole staff is great.
Good luck,
K.
I agree with one of the earlier responses; think about what you want. I initially thought I'd be able to do a natural childbirth med-free. I went to Lamaze classes, did relaxation exercises, but when it came to the actual event I couldn't do it. Thank goodness I had an obstetrician who told me from the beginning that because he was a man, he couldn't tell me what I should or should not be feeling so if I thought I needed any painkillers to tell him. I had a very good experience with both him and the other male ob I used for my second child simply because we all let our expectations be known from the first.
best of luck
Before picking a ob/gyn you need to think about what kind of birth experience you want to have. Every ob is different and has a different style. Do you want a standard hospital experience or something more natural. Medicated or unmedicated. Midwives or doctors? To have pitocin? To be induced? Your doctor will be a big deciding factor in ho w your birth pans out. Feel free to contact me if you want some suggestions for docs based on your birth expectations. Whatever you choose, good luck.
