Can anyone recommend a childcare center in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area that is more like a preschool than a daycare?

Not sure what your criteria is, but can tell you as a general rule, most of the chain daycares have "preschool" - very set learning curriculums, milestones, etc. Stick with chains, and you should be fine.

Montessori schools are a completely different way of teaching than a traditional school, or preschool - some swear by them, some don't swear by them. I don't have an opinion either way, but do recommend you research the methodology, as this may be what you're looking for.
Good luck!

I highly recommend Montessori Episcopal School in Lewisville. Both of my children attend, and we love it! The school starts at age 2 and goes through first grade. Many of the teachers have been there for 10yrs+. Our head of school is one of the top Montessori educators in the area - she teaches at two local colleges. It is a very loving and nurturing environment. We are so lucky to have a school like MES nearby!

I don't know if you are looking for full time or part time but I am a certified teacher with 12 years of experience and an early childhood endorsement who is teaching a literacy based academic preschool class 3 days a week in my home classroom T/W/Th from 9am-noon. I have one opening since we had a student move. Maximum enrollment is 6 students. Right now I have 4 plus my 4 year old daughter. I am in Corinth off 35 and State School Rd. so it may be a little far for you.
