Looking for Information Regarding Providence Pediatrics in Matthews and Ballanty

Hi....Love Providence Peds Ballantyne. I had weight gain problems after my first daughter and Beth Haynes, nurse practitioner, was AWESOME! She spent so much time with us and the baby answering all the first time questions. My daughter is 3 1/2 now and still loves her. Usually on sick appts/last minute, you may get one of the practitioners. I HIGHLY recommend her. She is wonderful with kids. All of the doctors are good. The main doctor I love is Dr. Kimberly Riley. She too is awesome with the kids and is able to relate to them so well. Dr. Valder is good too. Been told Dr. Culpepper is old school. You can't go wrong with any of them at the practice. Also, the nurses are warm too. The after hours nurses are great about calling you back. Most times they can help and you don't even have to go in to the office!
My best girlfriend and a neighbor both use Arboretum peds. They love it there too. Their preference is Dr. Laraby (sp). Both practices are great choices. I chose Prov because it is only 5 minutes from my home. Good luck! :-)

I was a patient at providence ped. when I was a child. I was seen by Dr. Smolen and Dr. Cullpepper, so that may tell you how old they are and how much they know. Culpepper is not the warmest of Doctors but is is very good as is Dr. Smolen. I have a Daughter now and she is a patient of Dr. Smolen and Dr. Downing. We mainly see Dr. Downing because she has a thing about men and that is the only reason.

Welcome to Charlotte! I LOVE arboretum pediatrics. They always work me in if it's last minute, and usually are running on time. See if you can meet Dr Satterfield - he is wonderful with kids, and parents! They also have sick clinics on the weekends. Good luck!

We see Anne Gessner at Providence Peds and she is wonderful. She is a nurse practitioner. Some of the doctors there have way too many patients and it takes forever to get in to see them.
I have seen Dr. Valder and he was really nice and the wait was not bad. We are moving to Fort Mill and I will make the commute to stay with Anne!!!

We take our son to Providence Pediatrics in Ballantyne ever since he was born. We've seen Drs. Valder and Downing but actually go to Anne Gessner for all our son's check ups. She's the lactation consultant and PNP. She is wonderful and warm! We also liked Valder and Downing too but ended up staying with Anne. Dr. Downing is very warm even though she might not appear that way. My husband was surprised how good she was with our son the one time we had to see her. Dr. Valder is very gentle. Our son was also seen by Dr. Culpepper in the hospital right after he was born, but he seems rather old fashioned and not too warm.

My kids go to Prov Ped's and I LOVE it! I interviewed a couple of practices and found them to be the best around. The doctor's are friendly and helpful and my children even like it. The 24 nurse help line is great too. They always get my children in quickly when they are sick and have many doctors to choose from. I have my favorites that I request for sick visits and a regular doc for well visits. I've even had to use the weekend clinic and it was good as well. I have friends that go there also and are very pleased. Good Luck!
