Hi Ladies,
Maybe someone can give me some advice or recommend a place or two. I have two weddings coming up and I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant. The first wedding is in 2 weeks and the second one is in June which means I will be around 6 months. Any ideas of where I can find a place that sells nice maternity dresses? The only place I know of and have tried is Davids Bridal, but I wasn't too thrilled with the selection.

Hi M., there is a place in Westchester called destination maternity,. they have a wide selection of maternity clothing from casual wear to formal. the price range is affordable for all budgets. I loved shopping there when I was pregnant. They totally cater to you. They even have a spa for mommies to be. Good luck!!
I loved destination maternity when I was pregnant, but I also found some really nice dresses you can wear for weddings and still wear them out regularly.

It's harder b/c you need to order online and the return isn't free, but they're styled so they won't go out of style and one that I bought can be worn after pregnancy as a regular dress.
mimi maternity has very nice stuff, you should be able to find something dressy enough. pea in the pod has reeealy nice stuff, expensive though, i got my maid of honor dress there, gorgeous. destination maternity has stuff from both places, lots of it discounted, you should definitely check there first. they are on rt 110 in huntington, they have a website too, though im not sure if you can buy online. you can go there, and if you dont find anything, head north to northern blvd where pea in the pod is. there is a discounted place in the fortunoffs mall also, but i dont know how dressy they get. mimi was in roosevelt field mall, i think its still there, but i would check online first. also, fyi, the macys in walt whitman mall, across the street from destination maternity, has a motherhood maternity in it. motherhood is a lot more casual, as im sure you know, but if you do find something, the nice thing is that they accept returns, whereas most motherhoods dont. but again, call first to be sure, its been a while for me... have fun at the parties :)
Hi! I'm currently 10 weeks and needed to find appropriate maternity wear for work and social engagements. Try pea-in-a-pod, mimi maternity, motherhood, and even old navy if you need casual. I found beautiful casual flowy dress there that I can dress up with heels and a shawl/jacket or wear casual.
Hi M., I would definitely try Destination Maternity on 57th St. in Manhattan. They have three stores there (of various price ranges) with a good selection. Also, the Gap, Old Navy and Ann Taylor Loft have Maternity sections. Good luck! Enjoy the weddings!

there is also a destination maternity in manhattan. also in manhattan and brooklyn (i don't know where you are) are a few boutique-y type maternity stores, but they are not cheap;) their names are: bump in brooklyn, and pumpkin and cadeau maternity in manhattan. you could also look for maternity cinsignment stores in your area. good luck and have fun!
