I'm new to the Chicago area from Tampa Bay, Florida, and need to find a pediatrician for my 7 month-old son. We are very much into the naturopathic and preventative fields, and he saw a naturopathic doctor in Florida who helped immensely as he started the teething process. I'd really love to find a pediatrician who is into more natural solutions - supplements and homeopathy - as opposed to medicines. We live in the Northwest Suburbs - any suggestions?
Why not contact your Florida doc and ask if he/she has any recommendations for your current area? You might be pleasantly surprised.

We see Dr. Ettner out of St, Francis in Evanston. He practices both kinds of medicine and we were greatly surprised by his respect for our wishes. He is a GP formerly an ob/gyn performing at homebirths. He is referred here frequently on mamasource but my midwife gave us the info. He really went beyond the call of duty to help us.

Try Homefirst.com They have an office in Rolling Meadows and another in the city on the northwest side (Peterson and Cicero). We love Dr. Zumhagen and Dr. Schattauer. It is a family practice that does homebirths. It's awesome that the whole family can see the same doctor!
