I am looking for a family friendly pediatrician for my 2 yr old son. We have been going to one in Wylie, but I am now looking for one that is possibly open on saturdays and actually answers the "on-call" pages on the weekends. I've had problems with that in the past. I am looking for possibly one with more than one Dr. and possibly a female Pediatrician as well. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

We go to Pediatric Associates of Wylie, in downtown Wylie.
The two female DRs. are great, and they always try to get you in same day.
We love the whole office.

my daughter has been going to the Pediatric Place in Plano since she was 2 months old (she is five now) and all the doctors and nurses have been beyond great(both female and male).

Doctors Alan and Betty Yedwab are WONDERFUL pediatricians!! They not only remember my children's names and medical histories, but they remember my husband and me, too! They are WONDERFUL people and WONDERFUL Doctors. It is a smaller practice & the staff remembers my children as well. Both my children see Dr. Betty (Beatriz Ruiz-Yedwab) and love her. She is the third pediatrician my daughter has seen because I wasn't happy with the other 2 practices. I completely trust both of them with my children's lives. Plus, they are VERY good about answering evening and weekend pages. They do have Saturday hours for sick care.

I have worked for North Dallas Peds for 13+ years. We have Saturday hours, same day sick appointments and definatly answer after hour calls (I am one of the RN's who does that)
We are located in Plano on 15th and Coit and have satalite offices in Medical City Dallas and Frisco.
We have 5 MD's and 2 nurse practitioners. We offer free new patient interviews if you want to come in and get a feel for the office and see if it would be a good fit.

WE go to Doctor L. Foote in Rockwall. She practices with a group of doctors at the Baylor Family Medical Center. Their phone number is ###-###-####. We love the attention we get and the true and honest concern and medical treatment that we receive. They are open on Saturdays for acute illness.
We have never had to reach them after hours so I do not know about the paging but I can tell you. I have personally witnessed my doctor calling after hours just to check on my child and my sister in-law after going in earlier that day or week with an issue.

Dr. Ali Shams in Plano is wonderful. He is right across from the Medical Center of Plano. His office is never crowded and they schedule wellness appointments at different times than sick appointments. This way I never have to worry about taking my son in for shots and there be a ton of sick kids. He works every other Saturday and he can be reached by his pager when he's not at his office. He is also a very open doctor he doesn't say something has to be done a certain way for every child. He realizes all children are different and need different things.
