Hi moms!
Do you know of any fun, kid-friendly places to book a last minute vacation? We're looking to not go too far, so something in Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, or maybe Indiana? I've been looking online, but the information is overwhelming and I really don't know if any place is better (or as good as ) the rest.

There is always Wisconsin Dells. WaterPark capitol of the world!
We stayed at the Kalhari and had a great tiem.
If you like the beach, check out Warren Dunes State park in Sawyer, MI. You can find places to stay nearby for just over $100/night. It's a really neat beach and there are other really neat towns nearby.

Another Michigan spot for you to consider is St. Joseph. The beach there (Silver Beach) is fantastic!! There is also a childrens' museum, splash pad/fountain area, a big indoor carousel, lots of restaurants & cute shops, playgrounds & great views of the lake. There are often great little art shows or festivals on the bluff that are fun to walk through. My kids are never bored when we go there!
Grand Haven, Michigan is really nice! There are many condos and homes to rent right on the beach or a few blocks from the beach. There's a cute (but small) downtown area that's a few blocks from the main beach. They have a singing fountain too that lights up at night. It's not too far (maybe 3 hours) but it's a fun place to go!
