99 Ranch in Dublin, Fremont, and Milpitas usually have stocks you can buy, as does Marina Foods in Union City. Should be pretty inexpensive!
I am co-hosting a bridal shower and we have decided to make lucky bamboo favors. We have the containers but need the bamboo. Does anyone know where we might purchase some small size lucky bamboo plants...again not in containers. We need about 140 pieces. Thanks for reading my post!

If you are in Santa Cruz, Zen Trading on 41st Ave had "loose" lucky bamboo plants last time I visited. They are almost all the way to the end of 41st Ave about 4 stores from the corner of Portola Dr. I hope this helps.
If this is not too far to travel, Oakland Chinatown has lucky bamboo in most of the produce stores. Most of it is grown in water.
A long while ago, I believe, I saw that they had them at the Oakland Flower Market, in downtown Oakland. You might want to give them a call.
Hi D.,
If you live in Oakland. Go to Oakland Chinatown. Wah Hin Store on 9th Street. Between Webster and Franklin. Next to East West Bank. They will have 140 for you to order. Have fun.
You can buy the shoots, not the plants at Ikea for about 50 cents to a $1 a stalk if I remember correctly. There are 3 in the Bay area, you might be able to clean them out.
good luck
If you're in the San Jose area, check out Grand Century Shopping Mall in the Little Saigon district.

There's a plant shop in there - can't remember the name and can't seem to google it right now - with tons of bamboo and orchids. I bought bamboo arrangements to use as centerpieces for my wedding there. Super reasonable prices!
Great idea! I've seen them at IKEA. I would call before you go down there (West Sacramento) to ensure they have them in stock now.
I purchased lucky bamboo plants at a really good deal through NaturePerfect.com .
They have a store in Petaluma. The owners are very accomadating to whatever type or style of bamboo you need.
D.,
Two places come to mind...
IKEA
and we have an awesome florist in the West Sacramento area...her name is Denise and she owns Forever Yours Florist...call her or her son, Mark.

Hi D., Denio's in Roseville has at least a couple of vendors who sell bamboo in different varieties. I think you should be able to buy jut the stalks from them.
Good luck!
why don't you try Denios Farmers Market in Roseville? J.
Ikea has them. And I didn't focus on them, but I think they were a good price.
when in season they have them at the 99 cents only store.... I bought a bunch for a dollar a shoot. They have the straight ones and curly ones too. Good luck with your findings!!!!!
You might try the Galt Flee market. There open on Tue and Wed. I've seen them there befor .
Have a great day, D..
Sounds crazy but they have tons of them pretty cheap at IKEA.
Depending on where you live, you can try Asian markets. You can also try ordering online. Here are a few that I found:
