I'm looking into ordering some magazine subscriptions. I was wondering what magazines you all get and would recommend and which ones you get and would not recommend. I guess I'm looking for something along the lines of parenting magazines as well as home magazines. Oh, and does anyone know of any christian magazines that are good? Thanks!
I really enjoy Real Simple - it's inexpensive and so practical. And it gives me a few moments to step outside mommy-world and into something more feminine. :-) I also receive Every Day with Rachel Ray (mostly cooking/recipes) and Cooking Light.
I suggest that you go to a store and buy a few different magazines and see which you like best. I personally love Real Simple and Martha Stewart Home and Parents. As far as Christian magazines, go to the Focus on the Family website. I subscribed to a magazine with them (it's really a donation) for my teenage daughter. I believe they have several different magazines to choose from. They also have links to other Christian websites on their page - it's a great website to navigate! Good luck!
The magazines that I get are Family Circle, Prevention which is a health magazine...and Woman's Day....I love them all because they are loaded with ideas for your home, family, health, recipes craft ideas and so much more...They also have holiday issues that have some really great ideas in them....I was getting Country Home but it is loaded with ads although they have some awesome photos in it I didnt think it was worth my money....we also get Nick Jr. for my 4 yr. old.....need I say we love magazines....hope this gives you some ideas!
Family Fun & Wondertime & Mothering & Cookie is a good one too that is fairly new. You can always check hte magazines out at hte library or bookstore before deciding to do a whole subscription!
I also like Domino, which is a shopping for your home magazine.
I work for the big corporation and it has Mother's day Employee discounts on magazine suscriptions that we can pass to friends and family.

I love O Magazine. She talks about alot of current issues, parenting, just women in general.
I would highly recommend World Magazine. It's like a "Time Magazine" except with a Christian worldview. It has amazing photography covering news from all over the world. They also have "kids" versions similiar to the old Weekly Reader (if you're as old as me!). Go to the website and check it out. www.worldmag.com. I promise you'll love it.

Guidepost is another wonderful christian magazine. My mom gets it and I love to read it when I go to her house. It has something for everyone in the family. Your kids will love the stories too. Google Guidepost and I am sure you will find some good info. If not...let me know and I will ask my mom where she gets it.
P.S. I have big dogs and I suggest you get that puppy to a trainer right away. :)
Southern Living is my favorite home magazine. I love it, love it, love it! Especially around the holidays, they have the best issues with such great recipes and decorating ideas!
