As stroganoff, in a casserole, as hash with sauteed potatoes and onion, in a Shepherd's pie, with mushrooms in a wine sauce on noodles, in a beef pot pie, in something like osso buco (sp?)
we had ox roast on a bun for one of the meals this past weekend for our house guests, Hubby bought way to much and i don't want to stick it all in the freezer, Is there another way to serve it other than on a bun???

I make soup (well, stew really). You just chop up everything and I usually add a bit more beef stock (unless you add a lot of water when you cooked it anticipating the leftovers, then you have your own "stock".
Usually, I add new veggies. I find stuff gets almost pureed if you use the same veggies that cooked all day in the crock pot and then you put them in soup. but you can.... it's up to you. I like to change out the veggies and not use the same ones.... so ie-potatoes in both, but turnips in the roast and then jicama in the soup (similar texture, little different taste).
My grandma used to make beef salad - shred it and mix with mayo, celery etc just like chicken salad.
you can also use it in enchiladas. if you re-season with taco seasoning, it's just like shredded beef.
Yummy :-)
How about making soup? My hubby makes ox tail soup all the time....
make stir fry with it, beef and noodles, probably ANYTHING you can do with beef you can do with ox
Do you have gravy? If so you can make hot beef in gray and serve over mashed potatoes or bread, just make a veggie or salad to go with.
It should also make really good cold beef sandwiches for lunch. Just don't buy any lunch meat and use the beef instead.
Add BBQ sauce and have home made BBQ pizza?
