Anyone else start getting gray hairs "down there" as young as 30/31? I can't believe I am typing this, but I also can't believe that I'm 31 and am growing some gray hair 'down there' already! I have a few on my head too, but OMG I was surprised to see them elsewhere. Am I the only one? What age did you start graying on top and down below?
me:
on top: 26 (right after my divorce I noticed the first gray hair)
down below: 31
I'm so glad I have given so many of y'all a laugh.
@Rachel - I am not a red-head, but my mom was. She's 60 and all gray (on top. I dunno about below). In some light, people have said they thought I looked a little red. But I don't see it.
@Dawn - interesting thought/suggestion. Will read more about graying 'down there' and possibly see a dr. My husband would probably think I'm crazy though. "You need to see a doctor b/c you are getting gray hairs?"
My cousin (on my dad's side) grayed early and is very salt & peppery and in her 40s. Maybe with Dad's early gray genes and mom's red hair, I've got genes on both sides that will give me the grays early.

Shave it all off, quick!
Nothing makes you feel worse than an old 'kitty' ;) I'M TEASING!!
I haven't noticed any down there... yet... but I started getting them around 19 on my head... same age I had my first kid ;)
Would you happen to be a redhead? (I am)... redheads are genetically predisposed to graying first... hello hair dye!

No gray hairs on my head but totally gray down there.
Totally kidding.
Today's posts are so funny.
I've been smirking to myself all morning.
Yes to both. It's O-kay.
Don't dye it down there.
Just saying. In case it needed to be said.
Still smirking reading these posts. Ha ha.
Edit: It's normal. Some go gray sooner than others. :)

I had never realized this was going to happen, till a friend of mine mentioned her husbands.. maturity down there.
We were cracking up that he wanted them "tweezed"..
I do not know when the correct age should be. I have every once in a while found a grey eye brow, maybe 2 in the last 10 years.

LMAO!!!
I'm 34, have been coloring my hair (on my head) since I was 17 due to grays. Haven't seen any in the girlie region as of yet though. I may be forced to buy vajayjay dye if they start showing up sooner than I'm comfortable with!
ETA: I have, just within the last few weeks, found a couple of gray eyebrow hairs & have plucked them immediately.

I used to dye mine (before I was greying) to match the color I'd dyed my head of hair. (I haven't dyed my hair for 10 years, but I've been every color at one point or another)
Shoulder surgery last month, and couldn't shave for a bit and YIKES!!! Stupid white hairs! From the number of them, it's been going on for awhile.
So far, they're just on the bottom, but once they reach the triangle, I'm buying hair dye again.
No calico cats for me!

Ha ha ha ha, sorry I couldn't help it. I am 41 and no greys yet. My sister is 44 and has lots on her head (I have never asked her about down there). My hubby also is graying in the lower region and his chest (47), but he doesn't complain. I think it is hereditary to start going grey at a young age. My mom didn't start getting grey hairs until her mid fifties. So I am hoping that is the same for me, my sis gets it from our dads side.

Hi jess-
I am 52...I have a few scattered greys on my head (I'd actually like a few more... I've earned them...)
But down below, no grey to speak of...but 'fewer' hairs altogether! lol I'd love it if I went bald there!!! So much less 'maintenance'....
Best luck!

OH how funny. It definitely isn't the most exciting thing that has happened to me, but as long as the rest of everything is in tact I am grateful. I think it was early forties when that happened. On my head seriously, the twenties.

I vaguely remember Theresa N. posting about a stray gray eyebrow hair and someone responding about 'down there' and I about died! But, to my dismay I am now part of the group :) I'm 37 and found my first not too long ago. My husband thought it was hilarious! My temples have started graying in the last few years but not enough that I dye my regularly yet.

Oh great - another thing to look forward to!
Plenty on the head. Started at 28 with one or two. Now at 37, I have to keep up with regular color and highlights to hide the natural ones!
TOO FUNNY!!!!

I now at 31 have a nice streak of grays up top but still have not had to dye my hair. People are noticing them now but it dose not bother me. This last year or so i noticed a gray eyelash hair! Then with in the last six months i noticed gray down stairs! I was caught off guard about the gray eyelash and the gray bush! It was not something I ever thought about. I am expecting gray brows any time now. Made me think about those young guys that go for the cugars and what they thought when they saw gray down stairs? Or if the cugars all waxed?? IDK but your def not the only one.

Well, I'm 28. No gray hair downstairs or on my head BUT I am getting white hairs in my eyebrows. I've been getting those for a few years. I pluck them out. My grandfather had white hair by the time he was in his early 30s. A few of my cousins started getting gray/white hair in their late 20s/early 30s. I'm kind of hoping for a nice white streak in my dark hair.

hi there,
So here is a real option for you. While the responders haven't experienced tis, it IS fairly common. I work at a spa and we here about this all the time. There is a product called "The BETTY-- color for your hair down there"! It comes in traditional colors,ie: blonde, brown, black and also FUN colors like pink, red, green, etc. Its about $15 and it has 2 applications I believe. Very easy to do at home. I see you live near me. Go to The Spa @ Folawn's. 14353 Blanco Rd.,San Antonio, TX 78216. You can just walk right in and the display of Betty boxes are in the retail area. Nothing to be embarassed about...it's just part of life for some of us! :-) hope this helps!

Nope none downstairs, but I have been getting them in my hair for the last couple of years and I'm 40. Another reason you should shave it all off and BELIEVE ME your husband will love that. Actually so will you, once you get used to it...

This is so funny, because a co-worker told me she noticed them, and I thought it was really hilarious. I don't have any myself, but I am 35 and only have 1-2 gray hairs on my head, so I'm hoping that I won't get any "others" until very old age. :)
