I was a Melaleuca customer for 5 years and had a nightmare experience with it. Suffice to say, I will not ever use their products on or around my kids again.
Please bear in mind that they are not organic or green. There are TONS of superior products out there. I now make many of my own cleaning products. Check out the book "Green Up Your Clean Up". It's a great resource!

Be aware that Tea Tree Oil, distilled from the Melaleuca tree and probably present in all those products, has been linked to breast enlargement in boys (and is an ongoing medical concern for its potential hormone-mimicking effects on girls, too).

Before you start promoting those products, you might want to check this out online. Here's one link: http://altmedicine.about.com/od/herbsupplementguide/a/Tea...

I've been using Melaleuca products for 3 years now. I love it and there are many products that I can't live without. They have high quality products that are safer for your home. You also save money because you get more for your money. The upside is that you get great products that you can't get anywhere else. You save money and you get loyalty dollars to use for free products. The first 5 months you get $20 worth of free products each month. Some people I have found don't like having to buy 35 points each month. For me it's no big deal because these are products I'd buy anyway. I get the 35 points just from my vitamins alone. The vitamins have a patent pending oligo compounding that allows the minerals to be absorbed properly and prevents the antioxidants from being destroyed during the process. They are reasonably priced and the results are amazing. Their cleaning products including their dish detergents and laundry are truly the best. They are better than any of the top brands you can buy in the store. You also use very little for maximum results. You can also save on different stores who partner with Melaleuca but I haven't taken advantage of those yet. If you tell family and friends and they sign up then you get a rebate check on their orders. I don't do it as a business but some people can do that too. There are no quotas or risk at all if you choose to sign people up to earn money.
This is truly an amazing company. I know there are some people who don't like having to buy 35 points each month or who don't like the products. Some people weren't told that in order to quit you need to write them a letter so when they didn't place an order, they had an order automatically come to them. If you have a knowledgeable person sign you up and explain the ins-and-outs of the company. And you like the products and don't mind ordering online or calling in your order each month... then I think you'll be happy with Melaleuca. You can try them risk free and get a full refund of your sign up fee within three months. There is also a 60 day money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied with the products. Even on empty bottles. It won't hurt to give it a try. Send me a message if you have any questions or concerns. I love Melaleuca!

I'm no longer purchasing it, but I did like the products and were happy with them. The bath/shower products were very nice, as well as the laundry products. My son had a little reaction to regular soap, but not to melaleuca. The inconvenient thing is the ordering requirements - if you have a small family and don't consume enough monthly, then it's not going to work out for you. Don't know anything about the selling side. Hope that helps a little.

I was a customer and did the business. I could not get anyone to join. I enrolled 4 people, and then they quit. I did this for 5 months, but I started to hate it. I love their products. They aren't organic and they don't claim to be. They just don't have any toxic chemicals in them which is a plus. It stinks because I really want to buy their products, but I can't afford either way I go. I can buy without the preferred customer price, but then I'm just throwing away a ton of money. And I can't afford to buy 35 product points every month either. I LOVE their lotion. It's sad for me to have to give up their products. I don't recommend trying the business. They say you can do part time, but if you don't commit your full days to it, you wont get anyone to join. Good luck!

Hi A. -- I realize you posted this a while ago, but I just joined the site and saw this post. I am not a "mama," in fact, I am a man (*smile*), but I am dedicating myself to helping women and mothers in the Twin Cities area take charge of their lives through training and mentoring.
That said, I am a customer and business builder with Melaleuca, and I am hoping to build revenue enough to support my non-profit endeavor.
If you are still interested in Melaleuca and have not yet explored the benefits of membership, please feel free to contact me at ____@____.com I would value the opportunity to meet with you. If you have joined, I would still value talking with you about your experience if you would be interested.
Thank you.

I was with Melaleuca for 7 years and loved all the products. When the economy took a turn is when I had to stop. Unless you plan on doing this as a business it can get expensive. Around $75 a month is what you have to spend to keep active, that is 35BV points in there system.
Anyway nothing but great things about there products though. Loved them:)

I have been using melaleuca for a little over a year and love it!! I was very concerned about the points too as I am single but it has actually not been hard to spend my points each month. I love everything that I have tried especially the makeup by Nicole Miller. I was a Bare Esscentials girl until I tried the Nicole Miller and I love it!! I would say give it a try what have you really got to lose?

Have used and love these products for the past 13 years... I love to introduce others and help them get the most from their shopping account. The company has risen now to the largest and fastest growing of its kind. 2016 showed a growth of $450 million to end the year at 1.75 Billion. I believe it is a combination of Excellent Products and Customer Service along with these trends growing ... GREEN SAFE and Environmentally Friendly Products is growing more popular... Shopping from Home is growing more Popular ... think Amazon and finally Melaleuca started with only 8 products and now offers about 500 even including coffee, tea, fitness, and essential oils. They have held prices for so many years that they now are way more competitive too. Add to that concentration and the price per use even beats Wal-Mart and discount stores on many of the products.. Finally their number one product has been shown by independent testing to really make remarkable or profound difference in health and our immune system... A membership could be justified for their number one product Peak Performance.. Let me know if I may be of help to anyone. ____@____.com E. Ball

Its only $1 to join right now...but it expires today...St. Patrick's Day. For $1 you've got nothing to lose, so you can try it yourself and if it's not for you, you're only out $1.

Personally, we love it. My two year old daughter says, "Melaleuca baby!!" Some of my favorites are the vitamins, Luminex, Florify, Renew lotion, Sol-u-mel cleaner, Mela Power laundry soap, (I guess the list keeps going!).

Its worth a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I am a customer and business builder. As a customer, I don't know what I or my husband would do without the vitamins. Those are what hooked me last year. And I have loved the other products - cleaning, laundry, nutrition and bath/body. The business? I took off 6 months to work on my other business and I still got a monthly check which payed for my products and it was still here when I got back to it last week. I believe it makes a huge difference with your team and mentor.

Someone asked the other day about home businesses and how to make success. My reply was dedication to setting office hours just like you would if going to work at company. You have more flex with home but still must be dedicated.

Good luck on what you decide. With Melaleuca you have 100% money back guarantee for products you don't like and right now through 3/17 the membership is only $1.

Hi A.....I'm in Mela and I love it. The products are awesome. When you say you are interested, what does that mean, in the products or the benefits of being in it as a business?
I wouldn't trade the products for anything, they are awesome and have helped a lot in our household. Including the dogs!!!
I would love to talk to you if you would like more information. Send me a personal message and I will get back to you.
Have a great day.

Hi read here where someone was saying the Melaleuca oil caused hormone and breast issues. First off, this oil comes from Australia, not the US....it is T36-C5 and T40-C3.....this oil has been used in Australia for a very long time from the tree leaves. There are no issues with any hormone problems nor issues with it's purity. If you read up on the company you would know that they are VERY concerned about issues with their products. They also are safe for children and animals. Of course, if the child or animal has an allergy with a natural product that is in our products, that would be a problem. Just like people who are allergic to nuts can't be around places that serve nuts....same thing. Also, I have problems keeping my order down to the point system! My husband and I are having a rough spell here financially, but the products are awesome. We are on the vitamins. The laundry soap last us about 9 months.....so, I use all the bathroom, cleaning, dusting, vitamins, ect. So if you really use the products, there is never a problem finding the order points needed. I just cycle the rooms around, kitchen, laundry, bathroom, ect.....you can go to rmbarry.com, a company NOT associated at all and read up.
Just wanted to clear up the Mela oil issue.....this stuff is awesome and very pure......and the amounts are on the bottle of how much is in there......Thanks. Have a great day!
