Okay, so my husband usually does not wear cologne, but i was thinking of getting him some for christmas to try. I dont want to spend a lot in case he does not like it. Im looking to spend under 20 bucks one from walmart since they have free site to store shipping or i can just buy it at the store also next time im there. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a decent cologne for men? I really have no idea what is decent and what is not.
Thanks!!

What can I do next?

My husband never wore cologne until I got him some for father's day. I got him the Polo Big Pony sample pack. Stupid name, but all four varieties smell good. It is above your $20 point but they have body spray that I think is around $15. As far as I know you can't get it at Walmart but you can order online.

Ok. I realize the above wasn't really helpful so I am going to the Walmart website....

Get him the Nautica Voyage. It is a nice, clean scent and not too strong and the price ($15.00)....wow! It is at least $60 at Macy's.

Aqua di Gio. yummy. Try Ebay - you can get small bottles/samples at a reasonable price. I might not go the Wal-Mart route - if they have knock-offs, they aren't as good as the real thing - bad colonges can cause bad headaches.

Here's my suggestion...
Go to a department store and smell test everything there. When you find a couple you like, write down the names and then go shop for them elsewhere where you might can get them cheaper. At Walmart, you won't be able to smell them. Isn't that what you NEED to do, to know what you will like?

Also, to "clean your palate" (after smelling one or two colognes, you won't be able to differentiate the various nuances much anymore) smell some fresh coffee beans. Some cologne counters keep them on hand for you. Ask if they have any when you have smelled a brand or two.
Good luck.

Our favorite cologne is 1000 Portholes by Key West Aloe.
It's just the right scent for my husband - there's a slight citrus (lime) tone to it.
You can get an ounce for $10.
That should be enough to determine if you like it or not.

I really like Polo Blue. I don't know how expensive it is, or if Walmart has it.

If you want to go a less mass produced route and instead get something a little more unusual, check out Black Pheonix Alchemy Lab (bpal) online. They do about a million essential oil blends. You can get little sample vials, and a little goes a long way.

I am always attacked by the sample people. Apparently that I am running doesn't project the image that I want nothing to do with them. Anyway, get some samples and wave them around your husband with some story like you are buying for your dad or better yet someone that won't influence his decision. Get him to tell you what he likes before hand.
